lyrically this seems dark(er) to me
i love it all so much
i really want to know what the other version of winter solstice will sound like

 

I want this artwork in higher res. @Jason Tate, have you pulled the artwork from iTunes yet? Or was it included in the press release?

Yeah, pretty sure August 6th is my favorite song on the EP, musically and lyrically.

 

I wouldn't be able to put my 15+ years of fandom to the side and review this EP on its own, which is what I figure reviewers are supposed to do?

It's so cool that they've stuck with him for nearly all their artwork for almost 20 years.

 

I love when bands stick with an artist over their career. See: Radiohead, Circa Survive. Any other examples of that?

Is the "I Never Said I Was Brave EP" the only thing that wasn't done by Kafanov?

 

I love this band more than anything and probably shouldn't have spent $250+ on them last night but I did and I'm so fucking stoked for this. Probably played the EP close to 20 times now.

 

The artwork for the reissue/remaster two years ago was done by him. So he's retroactively done the cover art for the entirety of their discography they can be bothered to acknowledge I think.

I actually don't have anything for that release. I've maybe listened to it once ever.

aaaaaaaaaahhh, when everything cuts out in Bethlehem and its just Aaron and that acoustic guitar. that part SLAYS me.

 

I think it's safe to say that any worry about Aaron's vocals being a bit lower than normal was for not.

 

Saving this for a special time to listen. Would love a print of the album cover.
