Liking this band is just constantly in the emotional state of wondering if they're gonna break up. This is an extremely short album cycle though... usually a band would tour on their record for over a year, not two months.

 

Yep, it's pretty clear at this point that they're just not going to tour as frequently due to family stuff but they're definitely not stopping.

I disagree - I thought that might be the case at first but it's now becoming more clear that this is a stage of life thing. They wanted to tour the record, they're enjoying it, they loved making it, but it's important to be with their young families so they're finding a balance that works for them. They've made a few statements in the comments that they are not done yet.

Yes it would be a short touring cycle for a new band on their first or second album, but for seasoned veterans who have become very popular but have young families, this is a touring schedule that works for them. I like that they've done three legs with time off in between. I like that they're choosing to balance things. I wouldn't worry too much now that they've put out a few comments clearing things up. There will be a day when mewithoutYou end but I think they're at the point where they would tell the fans who have prolonged their career before they finished. I genuinely do think they're thankful for the support they have. It's not like the time between it's all crazy and Ten Stories with the silence and confusion. I think they'll communicate the end.

 

Oh yeah, forgot to say what I overheard at the show.

I was outside having a smoke and waiting for a friend and I was a few feet away from Greg talking to an older couple and it sounded like they knew each other personally and I couldn’t hear exactly all what was said, but the vibe and casual way he described it is it’s absolutely not a break up thing at all. Just more time to spend with their families and school and whatnot. No intentions on stopping or breaking up at all.

 

Great. That was the picture I was beginning to put together all the way over here in the UK. Hope they do visit us when time again allows though!

 

he literally said wrapping up the album release era. aka just the first headline tour after a new album drop. i would imagine they're gonna be on some opening slots for bigger bands in the next year

 

Me: Should be catching up on albums I've missed for the upcoming AOTY season.

Also me: Listen to literally only mwY discography over and over.

Standard editions will hopefully be shipping out in the next week or so I believe. The labels were created for orders the week before the Leg 2 tour, so I think Mike and the band have to just package them all up and have USPS get them.

The deluxes won't be shipping out until early February at the earliest now Mike said.

Yeah, the only time I really thought they were going to end things was after iac!. But, I consider Ten Stories to present the 2nd era of the band and I don't see them stopping for good anytime soon

Forgot to mention how it’s Thanksgiving & this year I’m thankful for a lot of things but most of all I’m thankful for the final guitar solo in New Wine/New Skin

 

What part of the Untitled releases are you most thankful for?

 

I'm really digging the abrupt ending of "Wendy & Betsy" these days.

 

The fact that we got so many songs in a short space of time from the band I love like no other.

 

I now have a song called “tortoises all the way down” in my library and it’s one of my favorites

Anyone know what time they’ve been going on on this tour?

 

When I saw them they were on stage by 9:45 but when @littlejohn saw them they didn’t get on until like 10:45 which seems really late

 

What time did your show start?

Mine is this Wednesday and starts at 8. Two openers (Hold Down The Ocean & TWIABP) so I don’t see mwY coming on until at least 10. I hope TWIABP gets at least an hour.

I was going to get something mewithoutYou related but I had forgotten that mewithoutYou are not on Run For Cover UK so their products are not in the RFC UK store and shipping costs from the US store are far too much for me to bother. Boo!
