I agree with their decision to break the release up the way that they did. Putting everything on one release would just be too much awesome. Good songs would lose the time and attention they deserve simply due to the limited capacity of our brains to properly take it all in at once.

 

That said, PH is still my favorite release. This is a close second but it is constantly duking it out with TS & BS.

this is 2nd behind Brother Sister for me. I loved PH but I think this is leaps ahead of it. PH and [Untitled] are the best back to back releases of their career which is SAYING SOMETHING

 

No reason for negativity. Everyone can elaborate on their statements.

 

I haven’t listened to this album enough to have an opinion other than that it’s really good

 

i didn't mean snap back at u milkshake, you expressed how you felt and i expressed how i felt! it's just the "i really disagree" felt not only redundant but dismissive. i've been making the case that this is their best record since the thread started, and i get that not everyone will feel that way, but i already knew that you disagreed!

 

I just won’t know for sure until more time has passed, but I can see [Untitled] being the first time a band I love has managed to match that “unbeatable” album in their discography. Brother, Sister is a top 5 album of all-time for me. Never expected them to touch it, but [Untitled] is changing the game for me in much of the same ways B, S did when I listened 8 years ago.

 

This is very accurate and absolutely saying something considering Catch and Bro, Sis are next to each other.

 

There. Now it sounds like I hate this album (and I didnt want it to sound that way) because I actually really like the album and am always impressed at their consistency in quality. These are all comments Ive made in this thread before.

Brother sister and this are tied at number one for different reasons.

 

this band lowkey has some of the best musicians at their respective instruments.
Greg brings so much with his bass lines (and backup vocals, we are blessed to have him back in the lineup)
idek how Michael continues to write new riffs that are classic mwY and yet still stand on their own. so many opening notes off of [Untitled] & Pale Horses sound sonically like they could have been on either Catch for us the Foxes or Brother, Sister and it's just incredible
Ricky's drumming is a treat to watch
and then there's Aaron.

The show last night was great. Might have been the best performance of January 1979 I’ve ever seen. Typically Aaron holds back until the 2nd or 3rd verse but he dove into the crowd as soon as the 1st verse started and jumped back in for the 2nd. ‘Twas a delight.

 

Foxes will always be my favorite for sentimental reasons, and Pale Horses is my other fav. I think I put this one a hair lower than PH, but they're closer to each other than they are to the next tier of albums. And, I'm pretty confident it's all crazy will always be the bottom.
