Ha, I totally read that message wrong when I was browsing earlier. Embarrassingly I thought it meant they don’t sleep on the west coast run. Ha. Sadly I think your interpretation is more accurate.
That sucks about the IDs. That was my first time there, seems like a good venue. Decent sound & a good size. Damn dude, sorry you missed it!
Conor from Foxing/Smidley was raving about opening for them. He said that we should be honored to see them on their penultimate tour. It seems like they may be coming to an end soon
Yeah it’s hard to say.. i mean this isn’t the first time these guys have acted like it’s done! I really really really don’t want to live in a world without mewithoutYou
I doubt they would call it quits without announcing that it was their last tour ahead of time. If it is over, I expect one more big tour next year sometime. I literally think this band is breaking up after every release though lol.
Please please please come back to the UK one last time. I know that’s selfish but... Maybe they’ll just take a couple of years off like between it’s all crazy and Ten Stories. They’ve toured so extensively, particularly between Pale Horses and now. I could see that working for them but maybe this is just the right time for them. Hopefully they’ll let us know either way soon.
would fly to this theoretical show wherever it is i still haven't really seen them, i only caught a portion of their set a few fests ago
Man. Thought this was 100% my AOTY but the new Daughters album is really giving it a run for its money. Much like when [Untitled] initially came out, it’s all I find myself listening to for like the last two weeks
Damn, gotta check out that album then. I've always been curious about Daughters but never listened to them really.
I think you’ll dig it. There are some tracks that would fit right in at The Roadhouse. And if you like it, I’d suggest their self titled album. That was how I first found them and it still holds up nearly ten years later
On the second track and it does have an almost "purposefully obnoxious" unrelenting and abrasive sound to it. I like it.
That’s a pretty good way of putting it . That track reminds me of a musical representation of a swarm of bees
