Michael, Row Your Boat Ashore reminds me a ton of CFUTF, I'm not sure.. Just Aaron's vocal inflection and the feel of the instrumentals
I have never listened to this band for some reason but SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT this is so good. Why have ya'll been holding out on me for so long
So I finally got back around to the EP for the first time since I started playing the LP a dozen times a day, and I think I have a new hill I'm willing to die on. This album would be an 11/10 if you replaced Winter Solstice with August 6th, I love Winter Solstice but it's definitely the outlier on this album as far as the vibe is concerned, and August 6th would make the album have the same haunting feeling throughout. Instead it's just a 10/10
disagreed hard, "august 6th" is a perfect penultimate track and the album already has a perfect penultimate track in "michael." also "dormouse" -> "august 6th" would stop the album dead tempo-wise imo
That's an interesting though, @Chris Reynolds After a while with both, I'm going to make an "untitled" playlist with all 19 songs in whichever sequence sounds the best for one god tier album.
also i don't think the album version of "winter solstice" is that much of a mood outlier at all. consider the instrumental break before "dear my newlywed wife"
I love both versions and think they both fit in their respective releases. But if I had to choose one, I'd probably go with the LP version.
