LP version of Winter Solstice is the best, man. The chorus has such crystal clear drums and everything sounds like heaven and I love it, k thx bye
I've already said this, but Sunny Day Real Estate is ALL OVER this album. For people who haven't heard it, check out the album The Rising Tide. I know they're fans and I can hear the influence quite a bit.
Ya'll are sellouts preferring the poppy & polished LP version. I'm over here supporting the original "indie" version till death. ...I actually love both for different reasons.
Winter LP > EP I'm pretty surprised they kept it on the EP tbh. It's not like on the Pale Horses Appendix where the songs are basically completely new reimaginings. It's just an acoustic version. I still like it but I almost have no reason to listen to it now unless I'm listening to the EP all the way through
I think the lines about "machines" & "screens" sound better with the sparse instrumentation on the EP version
I cant help but wonder how staggering it would be if the EP and LP were sequenced together as one composite release with the same production
I’d be curious how the band would sequence all 19 songs. If they do an AMA I think that would be my question.
I've listened to a couple of songs from this and the EP and like them. Never been a fan of them before.
