Rainbow Signs is the world ending and this album is some The Road style post apocalyptica where the air is ashes
I think the collective answer would be Brother, Sister and then Pale Horses. This new album is a must though.
I'm not religious by any means, but I do have a Christian background and have spent many hours of my life reading the Bible and Aaron really makes me appreciate the art of using biblical themes to tell a story. It can be very powerful when done correctly.
I’ve described this band by saying, “imagine if some parts of the Bible came with a soundtrack...” Since some of their tunes are them putting music to bible verses I think it’s a decent description of just some of what they do
Think so but not 100% sure - I don't like streaming services in general because they give so little money to the artists. You can stream it on their Bandcamp page.
Think Tortoises may be overtaking New Wine, New Skins as my favorite track. Love the rhythm section & instrumentation once the full band kicks in for the first time. It's like Built to Spill mixed w/ some eerie Fugazi vibes.
I kinda wish most or all of the EP songs had an LP version who am I kidding, I really wish because Im a glutton
I wouldn't be surprised if they had 2 or 3 other songs that could have been "forced" into finalizing and could've released a full double album.
It's crazy how some of the songs to not "make the cut" on full lengths are some of my all time favorites: Bethlehem, WV August 6th Chapelcross Towns Four Fires
