Anybody who argues Five Guys/What-a-burger/Fatburger >>> In-N-Out never takes price into the equation. For a burger, fries, and a drink at Five Guys I can get 3 double doubles and a drink at In-N-Out
Even animal fries aren't that great. I mean, unless you're eating them as fast as possible by the time you get half way through theyre soggy
Michael is truly a transcendent experience. The first minute and a half is very meditative and then one it explodes I feel like my mind has been awakened for the first time and I'm being hurled through space and time. Makes sense, I know
They blow. The cheese is never melted, the spread is either not enough or way too much, and the onions don't add to it somehow. It's a terrible combination to eat with a plastic bendy fork
I think I nailed down why [dormouse sighs] isn't such a standout track to me. I'm liking it more and more each time I hear it, but I really dislike the one snare hit for what feels like 100 measures in a row. It feels uncharacteristically lazy to me.
Does anyone else feel like the rhythmical style of this album is alot different than the previous ones? Ive been feeling this on my listen throughs. I think theres generally less time sig fuckery here.
like he adds an extra snare hit at the end of each measure even, to say nothing of the first part of the song taking place mostly on the floor tom
snare might be always landing in the same place but rickie is painting with the toms and the kick drum in that song
and the fill before "fire in the flood" is my favorite fill on the entire record lol. sorry i had to liveblog the song to defend the drumming choices
Rickie is one of my all time favorite drummers, but to be specific I'm talking about the one snare hit over and over from 2:52 to 3:10. That is a LONG time to me to have one persistent snare hit over and over. I know he's doing some other things, but that's at the forefront. That being said, I remember a drum part on Goodbye, I! used to bug the shit out of me and now I love it.
Does [dormouse] remind anyone else of going off to battle or like a war song/chant? The drumming especially gives me that feel.
i've been sitting at work for the last 2 days with my headphones on listening to this non stop. everytime someone comes up to try to talk to me i get so annoyed
