A good amount yeah. It's still not on the same level as their best stuff for me but I'm definitely way more into it than I was yesterday, haha. I plan on spending a lot more time with it too.
Tortoises is the one that's grown on me the most. I did not like that song at all on first listen and now I love it.
Tortoises give me some of the same post rock-y feeling that Carousels does. Its got a gorgeous chorus.

I genuinely thought that Foxing had this year in the bag as far as my favorite album of the year, but this blown everything else away by a country mile.
Yeah I don't know what I expected from this record but it certainly wasn't this. Extraordinary work from a fucking wonderful band already known for being consistent af.
Can anyone else think of a band who pushes the boundaries of their previous discography as much as mewithoutYou does each time they release an album? And not only that, but each new release is arguably as good or better than anything previous to it? Off the top of my head, Dillinger Escape Plan is the only thing I can think of and they did push those boundaries, but not as ambitiously as mewithoutYou has.
