There's a lot of Bible verses referencing ears to hear, mostly Jesus saying it. Luke 8:8 "And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

 

Absolutely LOVE this part. Lyrics are cool, but the build and cadence of this is so good.

My favorite part on the album right now. That whole song, really

 

I hadn't heard that children's church song in so, so long. It really took me aback.

Also, this has been on repeat all morning and it's perfect.

prob my favorite lyrics as of now anyway. the way Aaron weaves the melody through is fucking perfect

 

I don't understand how he's able to think in such strange, abstract ways.

Seriously. Aaron is so fascinating. I wonder what a day to day with him would be like. what are his every day conversations like?

 

This idea of wrestling with the "Lord willing" attitude, but trying to grasp that God isn't the one making bad things happen to you is very real.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if has like a mild schizophrenia or something similar. I can't comprehend how someone is able to come up with and layer intricate words so well, haha

 

Also, the bass coming in at 4:20 in Michael is *kisses fingers like a chef* perfect.

I've mentioned before that I'm pretty new to MWY. Are there any links to interviews with Aaron where he deals with faith?

 

it was mentioned earlier and i quite like it. its pretty long though. i'm gonna listen to it again after my 2nd run through the record.

 

I'm going to edit 'Break on Through...' and 'Cities of the Plain' together. Just played 'Cities...' after finishing up a spin of the album and for me it's everything.
