My autocorrect really acted up there

 

Bummed I never seen them perform live. They were supposed to play a couple US shows back in June 2020, but etc etc..

 

There's still a chance if they tour with the new singer

 

i got into them way too late, they announced their breakup within the 12 months after i first heard em. really sick stuff discog

 

They’re getting a new singer?? I thought they disbanded

 

Yeah I don't know why they made the initial farewell tour announcement so final, only for the rest of the band to clarify (only in comment sections!) that it was a farewell for Jonas and the band was continuing. Confusing for sure

 

I suppose it was a big enough deal they had to treat it as one, but getting out in front of breakup speculation would have been a much smarter move.

 

Honestly not sure how I feel about that… Jonas is such a huge part of their sound, as much as I adore the band I feel like they had a great run and the remaining guys could continue as something new. I usually hate being one of those fans, but it is difficult for me to imagine this band without Jonas. We shall see.

 

I mean it IS hard, you don't have to be 'one of those fans' to acknowledge this is all we've known from this band.

 

What the fuck, new singer,??

 

yeah i was under the impression that they were done done. im open to a new singer

 

Honestly without Bo AND Jonas I don't know if I'd enjoy whatever Mew would sound like at that point. I already missed Bo on the last record.

 

I'd be very satisfied if they picked a new guy/girl from somewhere in Denmark, or the surrounding area, as Jonas' distinct accent was signature to the band's sound.

 

Just start a new band....

 

And play Mew songs?

 

If they want, but also no.
