Nice. I usually avoid Walmart, but it’s worth going in at that price. Even if I picked “in store pick up” it was telling 60 for Dread on their website. Crazy they don’t advertise that deal.

 

I'm definitely at the last zone so I'm almost done. Assuming something doesn't go horribly wrong with the end, this will probably safely be a top ten game for me. Can't wait to replay it honestly, I never immediately replay anything

Finally beat kraid. Didn't realize I needed to parry his swings at me

 

I was just jumping off the wall and reattaching, dodging them entirely. Parrying makes way more sense lmao

 

Drogyga and the Chozo soldiers weren’t shit imo, this bug boss is putting me in my place on repeat though. Barely even know how to get started tracing this pattern

That’s a recurring thing with the bosses later in the game so look out for it. You just get stuck in a loop otherwise

 

Just made it to kraid and got wrecked like 5 times in a row so I’ll circle back to that in a bit. LOVING this game though. First Metroid game and I’m thinking I’ll have to check out others in the future.

also, hi everyone. I was born for this. Currently obsessed. Can’t stop, 40 hours since the game came out.

 

I was at this cabin by a lake. Bears have taken to hanging out at this abandoned pier next door. Sometimes when I’m sitting by the fire ar night, I hear the scariest groans or loud splashing because one jumped into the water.

 

I am now stuck on the bug

 

Do you unlock a different version of speedboat/shinespark? Some of these blocks seem legitimately impossible to pull off.

 

Do you mean like how some areas it doesn’t feel like there’s enough space to charge up the speed boost? If so, I don’t think there’s an upgrade. Just takes some creative engineering to make it happen. My hope is that the super difficult ones aren’t really necessary because I’m really bad at those combos haha

 

They're only necessary if you're looking to get 100%. I want to get the best ending so I'm putting myself through it hah
