I thought Phase 1 was the worst personally because if you don’t nail the counters exactly right it never ends lol
11:40 , and 43% items baby! Such a fantastic game, and will be fighting it out with Returnal as my GOTY.
So if I’m stuck on the gold chozo there’s no way I’m beating the last boss, right? edit: jk edit: I got phase 1 of razor beak dowwwwwwn. Phase 2, on the other hand….reckd
Finally getting around to this. Learning the timing on the EMMIs is a fucking nightmare. Must've died about 50 times on the very first one. lol. I was a dummy trying to shoot them without knocking off the shield. After I finally figured it out, the third didn't give me much of a problem.
Picked up Metroid Prime Remastered on a whim the other day and I can't put it down. I played the original release in like...Summer of 2007? This remaster feels like it could have come out this year and been just as groundbreaking.
Also been playing remastered. That Thardus boss fight is annoying as hell. Took like 30 minutes to beat, then didn't give me a save point before I ran into a bunch of enemies that killed me, and now I gotta start over again. Great.
It's taken me a few days to realize it, but I think what I like most about Prime is how it takes the whole dynamic of the first few levels of the original Halo and expands it into a full game. There is a sense of mystery and awe in the early levels of Halo as you slowly uncover a beautiful landscape interspersed with remnants of an advanced race. Then, that feeling slowly gives way to dread as you descend into those remnants and encounter the Flood for the first time. Prime does the same thing, but it transitions back and forth between those sets of tones and emotions quickly and regularly throughout the whole game. It's fantastic.
