i know the band is supposed to reissue a remastered version of the s&m album. but if they go chronological order, they still have a long ways to go. i doubt in order, the band would wait to bundle this live show with the box set of the s&m remaster. i know i can't wait that long. especially if they're playing new collaborations with songs that were recorded after the two load albums.
Yeah, but so is Dave Lombardo. I don't expect Lars to play the way he did when he was 20, but he's gotten a little sloppy. Metallica is also the reason I got into metal, and Lars made me want to play drums. Just makes me sad to see him play out of time now.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to shit talk Lars, like a lot of people do. I give them all mad respect for playing so many shows a year for so many years like they do.
I guess "quickly" isn't what I really meant. He should take all the time he needs. It's not a quick thing. I just hope he takes care of himself, that's all.
So Robert and Kirk are supposed to be at Total Wine in Corpus Christi on Saturday to promote the Blackened Whiskey. Am I insane to even contemplate driving 6 hours each way from Dallas to probably not get to meet them and even if I did, it would probably last about 15 seconds?
It finally dawned on me that 1) Yes, I am insane for thinking a liquor store meet and greet for arguably the "lesser half" of Metallica would be worth driving 12 hours for, and 2) Pretty ironic that they're out promoting their new whiskey, meanwhile Jaymz is in rehab.
They're streaming an old show from 1991 on YT right now and damn the boys were on fire then. Killer setlist too.
Aw fuck, man. Just the mere sight of that song title and I have "HEEEEEEEEEEY hey hey" stuck in my head for a week. It's a goddamn great song
HEEEEEY hey hey, we suck now. I always would say that when the song came out in 2000. Good old Mission Impossible soundtrack. the limp biz kit theme song was and still is epic
Encore Drive-In Nights presents Metallica I REALLY want to go to this, but it's charged by the car and is $120 a ticket and I don't know anyone else that would want to go that I feel comfortable being 3 feet away from in a car right now. Pretty stupid ticketing model.
