Checked out their most recent album. I really enjoyed it. Haven't listened to these guys in over a decade.
I personally think it’s pretty fun. Nothing groundbreaking obviously (it is Mest, after all lol), but a decent, throwback pop punk song.
The recording might be my biggest complaint. The vocals sound like shit top to bottom — and you can barely tell the BFS guy is even on the song.
I had to listen to it three times to find where the BFS guy is…doesn’t sound like him at all lol Also huge step back from Masquerade unfortunately
Production sounds rough, almost unfinished. I thought this was supposed to be an album not an EP? This band also has some of the worst marketing ever.
I think everything this band does is just Tony. He runs the socials, marketing, etc, so I get it. But yeah, I was under the impression this was a full length, as well. Surprised to see it’s only 7 songs
In Feb this year in the UK, BFS played 2k capacity venues with several sold out. Mest have 2 gigs lined up at a 450-capacity pub in London in June.
They didn’t get invited to play so what fest this year in their hometown so they’re having a show the same day. Plus, you just proved my point by comparing UK numbers.
Your entire conceit that features are at all related to relevancy is insane. The amount of literally unknown artists with HUGE features is a long long list
I can’t listen to it though. I don’t know how Cameron Webb made it sound so bad , maybe they ran out of money or something. Feldy is definitely out of their budget haha
