Mest – “Masquerade” Video

So I just listened to the entire new album. As a huge mest fan in high school 20 years ago...

This wasnt necessary or very good

 

I really like a bunch of the songs. I'm pretty stoked it exists!

 

Wait. I thought this was the original lineup - so why is only Tony's face shown?

 

Hey I'm glad you like it but some of the songs and lyrics sound like they were written by 19yos in 2001. And they leaned so much harder into the "emo" side of their sound and less on punk/pop punk and that's disappointing

 

I don't think that's even them. The original drummer is a big boy, isn't he?

 

Yeah, that's what first threw me off.. and then when it's Jeremiah's turn to sing, they don't show him.

 

The album was recorded by the original lineup but they all live in diff cities so Tony brought in the “touring” members to do video!
At this point mest is just Tony and whoever he hires to play I reallly wish the OG lineup would do some touring etc

 

They weren't very good in 2001. They are still not very good. I remember being 12 and rocking out to Hotel Room and Drawing Board though.
