CBD has helped me when I have sleep issues. Also wake up earlier and try to stay with the same schedule every day, even on weekends.

Yeah I gotta get a better schedule. I stay up super late on weekends and sleep all day.

It's very normal for me to stay up until 4-6am and wake up between 1-2pm

I do a good job keeping the same schedule within an hour at worst. Hasn’t helped. My brain just gets going into stress mode at 4-5 am and that’s that.

It’s funny how I need an alarm to wake up on workdays and even then struggle to get moving and out of bed at 7:50 before logging on for the day but on the weekends I’ll wake up at like 5:30-6 am naturally and feel totally refreshed and revitalized. And i go to bed around the same time or later on weekends so I’m getting less sleep.

Clearly this is a sign that work is too stressful and/or I truly, truly hate my job and my brain is trying to protect me by sleeping instead of going to work and trying to get me to sleep through my alarms.

I have to take meds to sleep. If I don't I just don't sleep and it's awful. The first night on the meds when I got an actual good sleep and felt rested afterwards I was amazed. Been chasing that high ever since lol. Lately I've been taking my pill too late I think tho and I've rly struggled getting up in the morning. Just absolutely exhausted. By the time I get home and make dinner and eat and exercise and shower it's too late. I wish I could be a morning gym person.

I’ve been having sleep issues since I was a teen and I always mention it to my doctor but I ever get rx anything. My work sch is such a mess tho so I’m sure that contributes. And my daily stress from the shit show that is my work

Another problem is that my sleep issues have made me feel anxious when going to bed. Definitely not helpful.

this is the last post I’m making on this website one way or another I don’t know what else to say other than I’m at an extremely low point and it’s clear a ton of people think I’m a bad person and hate my guts so there’s no need to stick around that kind of environment it’s bad enough for my mental health as is and I’ve regressed a ton in my progress over the last two days over dumb bullshit and no one seems to give a fuck. its okay though i deserve every bad thing thats ever happened to me or ever will happen so I get it.

We went from a 1 bedroom apartment to 3 bedroom and are sharing it with my brother. He works from home half the week and the neighbor’s upstairs are really setting him off. There’s stomping, running, at least once a day there’s a loud random power drill(?), and screaming. We’re very different people and he can get pretty mad over the smallest stuff, but I can see how this would make it hard for him to work. A lot of what he does are virtual meetings and calls. He’s going to complain to the office, but I never complain to management or restaurants or stuff like that and I don’t want a bad relationship with my new-ish neighbors.

Spo was being antagonist repeating the same thing over and over in that thread, and denying that he was doing it it to shame people, and Carpet Elf and Texas Flood both came out with some extremely aggressive / uncalled for and mean posts (targeted directly at Jake) that gathered like 10+ likes each. I just reread the whole thing, and those users got to take advantage that they've been here for so long and threw their weight around in a very unfair manner that's unbefitting of how tight knight the community is here. If anyone else posted like those guys did, the mods (of which you are one) would have been in there berating them. Jake's over the line comment was either deleted by himself or a mod, yet their posts still stand. I would know as I'm not exactly a frequent poster or the most liked, and I've gotten mods called on me for far less. I don't blame Jake for feeling that that thread got too personal and off topic for an ALBUM discussion with the pure intent to bully people a little bit, and it was policed unfairly.

Some people (and I can think of a couple more) are way too aggressive and it just gets clicky really fast. Sometimes the fact that these are labeled for 'discussion' gets lost and over the line posts get to stay as long as they're in line with the consensus opinion.

The mental health thread is not a place for you to attempt to involve yourself in drama that happens in other threads. I do not know who you are. I do not know why you’re speaking about me or misrepresenting what I was trying to do.

Yeah that’s crazy that some people defended me after Jake said “suck my dick bitch”

Sorry. This is a place to support people, and since Jake obviously got upset in part by that thread, I was adding context and support. I am also responding to Aaron who mentioned you (I would not have otherwise). It was mainly the other users who I thought had crossed a line and since the context of that discussion came up, I thought it prudent to add my perspective and that I didn't need to be vague. I apologize for the part of my comment directed towards to you. That's just rehashing what was discussed yesterday, and isn't productive or warranted. To be clear, there were other users who used directly inflammatory and insulting language that I personally felt needed calling out, vs liking their posts.

I promise I am not using this place to 'involve' myself in any additional drama, I was active in that thread throughout the day, and reread it, and I feel it got a little nasty in there. That obviously had a part in what is now being posted over here.

How we're treated online can have an affect on some people's mental health (including mine) so it isn't exactly irrelevant here to discuss the impact of it. I am active in this thread and have sought and given advice so I know what it's for.

Mental health issues are not your fault but they are your responsibility. I’ve gotten plenty heated with a lot of people on this website and never said something like that to anyone.

He called Josh a bitch and to suck his dick. I dont give a shit who you are, you dont talk to someone like that.

That deserved to be removed either personally or by a mod, there are no disagreements there.

Fair enough. Agreed with the messaging, but not the message. No one deserves to be called a 'piece of shit' either. Flag a mod, or just simply say 'that's not cool'. Most people typing in the heat of the moment will immediately scale back and say sorry the minute when called out.

Participating in, and reading / rereading the thread from yesterday, I can see how it was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back. Often times there's a trend here in which you get to be mean, and the likes get piled on, when you're on the more popular side of the argument (and I'm talking benign threads, doesn't even have to be a topic like accountability). There are multiple posts a week that come across as too personal / uncivil for the community that this place is 90% of the time. No one wants to be personally attacked and bullied on a website that they chose to spend their downtime on (Josh included and I am not defending how they were treated at all).

I am disengaging though as others have stated, this is not the discussion meant for this thread and I apologize to all that I dragged in here and those that were distracted by it.
