My annoyance was with var haha. Didn’t feel the game needed stopping for that but would be peak Arsenal if they had given it lol

What’s up with Lewis Skelly? Doesn’t look as good this season. Just a bit of a second year slump so far?

Just not playing as much with Califiori starting most games, which might be playing on his confidence?

Goal rich area of the pitch. My word.

The amount of 90 min + winners/equalisers this season has been something

Same old Arsenal, always scoring from set-pieces.

League on? And we’ve already played United away, Liverpool away, Newcastle away, and City at home.

Now we need to go on a run.

    Longing

The cynic in me was saying that games will always last as long as the "bigger" team needs, but then I remembered the time of the Palace goal!

This is your life, are you who you want to be?

Get the fuck innnnn. After playing for nearly 30 years and reffing youth leagues, I officially don't know what a penalty is anymore. What complete nonsense that the Gyökeres opportunity didn't get awarded.

Also I swear you could hear Graeme Le Saux jerking himself off over the commentary every time something went against Arsenal.

  19. Just now seeing the handball in question. Not sure why the deflection off his body matters in this instance. He lunged toward the attacker, made his body bigger, and due to him making his body bigger (arm straight up and far from his body), the ball hit his arm. When you go into a challenge like that you risk that happening. You aren’t a keeper. You can’t lunge with your arms up in the air. If you do, and the ball hits your arm, it’s a handball.

let’s just get rid of handball and make this into volleyball

Maybe it should be, if I’m honest, but the rules say otherwise. Any deflection off your body means it isn’t handball.

Not sure what the limit to that is though. Feels like you could totally game it lol

Had a surprisingly good week on FPL, considering I left De Cuyper on the bench and my two Chelsea players did fuck all. Ndiaye doing the business tomorrow would make it even better.

    It's pretty mutual.

Just hoping the Livramento injury isn't as serious as it looks.

The handball thing just seems like another stupid bit of FA rule making, where they've created something which doesn't make sense and now we're going to get dopey situations like this.

Also not sure how Gabriel got nothing at all for the hit on Woltemade. I don't think VAR even looked at it (certainly the broadcast made no mention of it). I know it's not the biggest hit in terms of force, but he's absolutely gone after him because he's pissed off with the goal. Neither of them are near the ball and given the height difference, he's had to lift his arm pretty high to get Woltemade in the face. It's so clearly intentional.

The handball is one of those where if I read the rules it makes sense why it’s not a penalty and in words it seems fine. But seeing it happen I’m like “ehhhhh maybe not”

like at this point I don’t know how you fix the handball rules. You’ve got absolutely egregious ones like Salah’s this weekend not being a handball for some reason too.

dumb idea, but make any non deliberate handball an indirect free kick? Idk
