We've submitted our Europa League squad and left out 4 of our summer signings.

Curiously there's a rumour been going around that Simpson-Pusey, who is on loan from Man City, refused to play for our B team to get his fitness up. He's one of the players left out of the Europa squad and hasn't seen a minute of football yet. Rodgers was talking about him up to speed after the internationals because of his lack of pre-season so I guess we'll see.

Incredible. He was loaned out to get his home grown status in the UK which he gets with 1 more season in England. He had a Leeds plane/loan on the books before Chelsea called. I guess being paid to work out and live in London isn’t bad but sheesh terrible career move.

Seriously, though, I think he would have really suited Farke's system at Leeds so it's a tragic decision on multiple levels. Let's not forget players are humans, too, he must be feeling a type of emptiness that money can't fill right now.

Complicated feelings on it. Levy absolutely did a good job building the team into what it is and breaking into the top 6. But he also squandered so many opportunities to solidify that spot and to truly take a next step.
