  1. Arteta is about to play a lineup with even more CBs now that Hincapie is confirmed.

Well Hincapie plays more as a LB, which everyone knows is Arteta’s favourite position anyway.

How's the Celtic transfer window going?

EDIT: To add, We have received £34m for the 3 of them that have left and have still only spent £3m

  7. It’ll be interesting to see how Spurs’ attack plays out. We have tons of depth imo but might lack the true star quality needed to compete with the teams at the top. Simons has a real chance of being star quality but I don’t want to label him as that since he hasn’t played in PL previously.

It’ll also be interesting to see where Kolo Muani plays. If both Richy and Solanke are healthy, I think he’ll become our starting LW which I love the idea of right now.

    LW: Kolo Muani, Tel, Odobert

    ST: Solanke, Richarlison

    RW: Kudus, Johnson

AM: Simons, Bergvall, (Kulu in November?), Maddison out for season

Almost all of these players can play at multiple positions without dropping much in quality. So I think Frank will throw out several different lineups depending on form and opponent.

So while it’s a little bit of quantity over quality, there is still plenty of talent. And with how young some of those names are, maybe it develops into more quality.

I like the midfield depth behind those guys too.

Palhinha, Bentancur, Sarr, Gray are all players I trust in any combination. Bissouma is still on the team but I think he’ll eventually make his way to Turkey.

Defensively, the fullback depth is a little concerning. I suppose Gray can fill-in there if needed. But I just want him to be able to play DM consistently so he can develop.

CB: Romero, VDV, Danso, Dragusin (returning soon), Davies, Takai

LB: Udogie, Spence (Davies, VDV, Gray capable)

    RB: Porro, Spence (Gray)

And at GK we have Vicario and Kinsky which is a solid duo of keepers imo.

So that’s my post-window squad breakdown. I think we are much improved with the attacking options added. And with Palhinha giving us some strength in the midfield. We should be able to compete for a CL spot and hopefully win one of the cup trophies.

Just read through The Athletics summary of United's window. Lots of interesting tidbits in there, but one little line slipped in about half way through stuck out - Onana returned to United for preseason asking for a new, improved contract (due to reduction for missing out on Champions League).

I've known some daring fuckers in my time, but the absolute balls of the guy to try that after the season he had. Almost insulting the clubs intelligence to even try it.

  9. I saw they ranked every PL summer transfer from this year. #1 was a pleasant surprise lol

This might be the least cool way any signing has ever been announced in any sport.

I've been saying this all summer in here that it was in danger of happening but Celtic just officially completed an all timer worst transfer window.

Imagine going in to the last day and selling your one recognised senior striker, and not replacing him. Imagine this is your second consecutive window where you have sold a striker and not replaced them. Scunnered.

What's your youth/academy set-up like? Surely the best in Scotland? Seems like you may have to rely on it.

No offence to Fitba, but you'd still come in the fop two if you go down that route imo.

It's rubbish. We have some prospects but we never play them to see how they develop. Our last youth/academy success story for our own team is Kieran Tierney and he's just came back after 5 years at Arsenal... Probably Doak is our only other success generally. The rest get moves to like bigger club academy setups but don't seem to do much.

I know we'd come top two but there's no such thing here - you're either 1st or in crisis, we're just that strange paradox of 1st AND in crisis :crylaugh:

  16. Fined for twerking after a goal.

Meanwhile, not a peep about Suarez spitting on an opposing staff member, Busquets punching someone, and Miami starting a brawl after losing to Seattle.

"FIFA announced that 2026 World Cup group-stage tickets will start at $60 with the most expensive ticket for the final being $6,730. It’s unclear how many tickets will be sold at $60. FIFA will be using dynamic pricing meaning these prices could change based on demand."

Dynamic Pricing is the ultimate scam, so expect bad sales to start, probably.

Admittedly, I'm planning to pay whatever I have to in order to be in the Atlanta semifinal. Will probably miss out on group stage games.
