No, we’ve got the room and finances to make Rodrygo work if we want as well as Guehi and others. We still have Darwin, Elliott, Doak, Morton, etc as projected outgoings to fund incomings

this is a part of a longer thread about our spending, incomings and outgoing

No thanks, I won't be reading that because I choose to be happy

  3. That thread is ridiculously long lol

And I’m not trying to be ignorant. I’m sure that person knows what they’re talking about. It’s all just a bit silly.

The graph in the tweet you’re showing has 7 new outfield starters on it. If we have a system that allows one team to buy a brand new starting lineup in one single transfer window, with all top tier players, while other well established clubs are struggling to make one marquee signing without having to offload players, we have a very broken system.

  4. And Spurs benefited from that broken system, I’m aware. We bought Kudus from West Ham because they had to sell based on the current rules. It’s ridiculous they are put in that position when they haven’t even been going on reckless spending sprees.

  5. Triple post…

But I’d also like to mention that once they sell Elliott, Liverpool will have, I think, ONE English player. Gomez.

EDIT: Sorry, 2. How could I forget about Curtis Jones

  7. Why can’t any of our players stay fit for more than a week?

Having run a marathon with flaring plantar fasciitis… weaaaaaaaaak excuse.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

I've never heard a football player list plantar fasciitis as an injury before. With the support teams they have around the players, I'm shocked that's even possible.

Spurs did the science and gave him time to heal.

  13. We went from Kudus and MGW signings in consecutive days and all kinds of talks about new investment…to absolutely nothing for 3 weeks. Like zero talk or rumors or attempts other than made up stuff about Rodrygo. And didn’t even get MGW.

  14. Made another go at my fantasy team. I stink at this.

Fiiiine. I managed until April before giving up last year, which is impressive for me, and I somehow came fourth or fifth.

Quite a day for Sheffield Wednesday.

Had to pay their very good manager Danny Rohl to leave after he won’t go but also basically doesn’t actually want to coach the team. Or what is left of it, which appears to be seven senior players.

Told their North stand is being closed due to safety concerns. They missed the deadline to fix it and get it certified, because the owner tried to get a cheap Chinese firm to do it and their findings were rejected.

Now, it looks like their embargo over paying any fees will be extended from 18 months to 2 years.

Oh, and the takeover fell through because he upped his price again at the last minute.

My Uncle (Dad's brother) has supported Wednesday since he went uni there. He is seething based on our interactions on WhatsApp.

As someone who supports another club that has been on the brink, my thoughts are with Wednesday fans.

Some rumors ginning up about interest in Trossard from Dortmund. Wouldn’t hate it, tbh.

Was listening to a podcast on a walk yesterday and they were talking about the formation of a new Big Four. That basically Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Chelsea are pulling away from everyone else.

All I could think about was how annoying it was that those pricks Chelsea managed to fumble their way back into that kind of talk by just spraying 1.5 billion around randomly in just four years lol. Crazy club.

£1.5 billion and Palmer, possibly Caicedo, are the only ones I can forsee being "world class" in the near future.
