Not a great fee but him turning down Palace didn’t help. Sell on included thankfully.

Yup. Not just saying that with a new pair of Grealish specs, either, as I don't think Grealish has done enough himself.

Wild to see an England squad with 4 Arsenal players in, must have been a while.

Would have been six if Saka and White weren’t injured too.

Ipswich signing an important midfielder from Norwich, loving the fall out of it. Pretty sure it's the first time there's been a full transfer between the two clubs in our history.

We signed Andy Marshall from them in 2001, but that was after his contact expired.
They recently signed Gibbs from us, but again I think that was after his contact expired.

Don't think either club has ever paid money to the other though, which is shocking.

Ah that'll be the 2001 one then!

We're signing Soucek for a fee for some reason...

Between this and the Enciso deal, I can't help but feel Chelsea are helping Brighton for a "dodgy" reason.

Can't believe Spurs fell up into Simons. There's some risk involved going from Bundesliga to Prem but for the fee and the age/ceiling... this is surreal. Never thought we'd be here.

Interesting he was tabbed for a loan to Leeds. I’ll be interested what Chelsea do because he’s 1 season from being trained in England which is why we were trying to keep him in the prem but no way he cracks the Chelsea lineup, I think

Cannot believe we ended up with a better 10 than the two guys we were heartbroken over.

Xavi Simons is one of those ones where I always wonder what would've happened had he not followed the money to PSG to be wasted for a few more years and had instead figured out how to stay in Barcelona. Would've broken into the main squad alongside Pedri and Gavi. Probably would be an even better player.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Xavi is who I wanted when the window opened. I’m excited, I know it’ll be a tough transition initially, but he at least has Euro/Champions league experience that eases my fears and how he will translate to it.

genuine dream signing for me. I wish City would let Savinho go but it ain’t happening. Kudus/Simons is good business.

  17. The Savinho stuff is weird. Because we see reports saying he’s unhappy about City blocking the move. But also reports saying City aren’t selling in-part because Savinho hasn’t asked to leave.

But adding to the intrigue of signing him, apparently Savinho and Simons grew close during their season together at PSV. Maybe adding Simons will make Savinho push for it more.

    Watching the Hamburg derby.

A long time ago Keri would have been here.

I was texting with Keri just yesterday. If you didn’t know, she lives in Hamburg now.

That's cool. Is she roosting with the same guy? I bet the atmosphere is electric there tonight.

That was such a good through ball. Split the defence open at ease.
