Oh, how I wish I could rely on Spurs. Another 45 minutes behind the sofa.

there’s also so many more chips to play this year that it’s very possible for things to change wildly very quickly

City look an absolute shambles at the back. Wtf are they doing. Trafford a very lucky boy to still be on the pitch too (or not, given the second goal is almost entirely on him anyway).

Yea that Trafford / Kudos collision was definitely a foul after seeing it a few more times.

They booked him for his reputation not the foul

  13. His reputation….a guy who only had like 3-4 yellows all of last year and no reds.

Under the new rules, that’s a penalty. But I also never expected that rule to be enforced, haha.

was last year the only year he didn’t get at least one red card?

I’m not defending the decision btw.

  16. His last red was the infamous Chelsea game in which he got a red for a follow thru clearing the ball. It wasn’t dirty. But because of his “reputation” it was assumed dirty and a red.

The narrative that he’s dirty or reckless is wrong. The amount of fouls he commits is no different than majority of CBs in the league.

Spurs fans, don't let the likely media conjecture of "City were poor" ruin that performance for you guys

I think the Van de Ven block in the second half sums it up nicely: lionhearts.

  21. Yeah, City weren’t good but I think we deserve tons of credit for why they didn’t look good. The pressing was phenomenal. Played very physical and fought for every ball. Just not what we saw from Spurs last year.
