I was trying to describe myself to someone

I'd take one look at that haircut and sign for literally anyone else.

I say that as a bald egg.

  2. Interesting window going on for Villa

  3. I liked the Santos move for United but not sure about Tielemans. It looks nice because of the price but not sure if he’s much of a level raiser (I guess the price indicates this and makes it good value). I’m guessing United will still bring in another CM.

Timely reminder that "Rafa" Benitez froze Digne out at Everton and said he wasn't at the top level anymore. All this despite Digne wanting to stay in the area with his then young family.

He's just won a European trophy and now he's off to another European champion.

Don't ever let a Liverpool fan harp on about that night v AC Milan lol

We need a bit of age and experience in the middle of the park with Casemiro gone. With the addition of CL there’s plenty of game time to go around, and we could absolutely use a steady operator who is a proven performer ar the highest of levels.

Barcelona moving along Digne and Cucurella too quickly, in hindsight, definitely aged terribly.

  8. That was done quick

  9. Spurs have been very busy this summer and I think we’ve improved the backline and the midfield but I’m starting to get antsy about the attack.

We are so thin up top. We need 2 quality signings or we’re going once again struggle to score goals. We’re linked to a lot of players but none of them feel concrete (outside of Savinho).

"fee under 10m" how do PSG/Madrid always end up with stuff like this?!

He's 32, so I guess age is coming, but that does seem surprisingly, particularly as a release clause?

Didn't they sell Digne in the winter because Benitez didn't rate him and then one or two weeks later they sacked Benitez?

  13. Interesting that his name keeps popping up and that we seem open to selling him. Versatile and homegrown is pretty valuable imo.

Hand of Arsenal (tier 0) backing up the Alvarez to Arsenal talk. Did not see that coming. Hasn’t said it’s a sure thing, but said the clubs are trying to get something done.

Meanwhile, City apparently signing Bouaddi for £100m. Meaning they’ll have spent £600m+ since last summer with more to come. Crazy money.

  18. Was Trossard the one who wanted out, I’d assume for higher wages? Otherwise, I don’t get selling him.

He’s almost 32 and only has a year left on his deal. Think it was more about getting our money back for him and reinvesting.

From what I’ve gathered, Atleti are accepting 150m from anyone not named FC Barcelona.

Must suck for Atleti fans knowing the Real/Barca monopoly in Spain will never be stopped for too long. The minute a world class player comes along...and it's gone.

Tbf £150m is a mad price, but I honestly don’t know how much anyone is worth. If Tonali is £100m, and Anderson is £120m, maybe Alvarez is £150m?

  24. It’s a weird situation with Alvarez. I think Atletico would honestly sell him for less than 150m if it were a club outside of Spain and the player pushed for it. But I’m not sure Alvarez wants to go anywhere but Spain. So I just see this getting very messy and eventually they lose him to Barca.

  25. I’m also generally confused at why Atletico are so pissed at Barca. I get that it sucks another club wants your player. But they’re offering a shit ton of money for him. They said something about being tired of Barca poaching their players but looking back I don’t see that it’s been a problem? If anything, business between the clubs has benefited Atletico more than it has Barca.

Luis Suarez moved from Barca to Atletico - helped them win the league.

David Villa moved from Barca to Atletico - helped them win the league.

Griezmann had a lot of drama around him but I wouldn’t say Barca did them dirty in the deal there either.

Atletico have behaved poorly in all of this imo.
