I know you don't want to run the risk of ruining team cohesion and momentum, but based on protecting yellows and what not, I'd love to see the US run out something like this formation vs Turkiye Haji Aaronson-Reyna-Weah Berhalter-Roldan Arfsten, M. Robinson, M. McKenzie, Scally Freese Give Haji 45, Pepi 45 Give Weah 60, Zendejas 30 Give Berhalter 60, then bring on Trusty for 30 and shuffle to a 3-5-2 Give Aaronson 70, Pulisic a quick fitness 20 One other sub to protect for injury or what have you. Gets the entire outfield portion of the squad over 30 minutes of actual World Cup game experience in a dead rubber.
I imagine we’ll get a heavy rotation but a full 11-man rotation always scares me. I’d rather keep a few of the starters out there, even if just for the first half.
The more I watch Mbappe, the more I’m convinced he’s absolutely better than Ronaldo, but I also don’t think he’s ever going to hit many of his stat milestones.
Looks like Kinsky has won the starting job. Vicario is going back to Italy and we’re signing a backup.

Sounds like Kinsky is getting a new deal. Further confirms he is going to be given the starting job. While it does feel risky, I think if you remove the Atletico game it feels less risky. And that game is a definite outlier from what we’ve seen from him otherwise. Atletico’s shitty playing surface was a major culprit in that disaster. But even so, a lot of people thought that night would wreck his mentality and maybe his career. Instead, he played amazing for us in the final stretch and helped keep us up. So I’ll be rooting for him.
Just saw someone say that it’s a shame Mbappe and Vini can’t play like Mbappe and Vini when they’re on the same team.
Looks like that Bolton v Burnley derby game I wanted to take in next season won't be happening as it's on Boxing Day! No amount of money would make me commute in this country on Boxing Day haha.
Man City have spent over £200m on Reijnders, Gonzalez, Phillips, Nunes and Kovacic alone - all of which are still at the club on inflated wages, and can still spaff another £130m on Anderson. A bottomless pit.
Will be interesting to see what happens at Newcastle this summer. Technically speaking, they were loaded before the Gordon and Anderson (assuming a sell-on clause) fees came in, but if they sell Guimarães and Tonali too then they've got a massive task in replacing the quality. Not the dominance some folks were expecting. Oh, and let's remember they sold their soul down the river for this.
If Newcastle accepts anything close to that initial 55m offer I’d be so mad lol every other player gets 80m or more put on them as a price
I think we were just testing the water. I read somewhere that we have a few targets for every position and Berta likes to send out initial bids or checks to see how much clubs are after. I doubt we get Bruno.
