You scored like 40 points more than me this week, haha.

  2. Setting Raya and Gabriel as my captains this week. Is that a bad idea? Lol

    Trust me, anomaly.

Huge upside, especially if Gabriel was to score. That said, the only defender I've ever captained is Leighton Baines. And that was only because he was on all set-pieces.

I actually remembered to properly choose my team before we started this year and I still start the season one from bottom, only beating someone who forgot to set their team. :crylaugh:

I'd caution against wildcarding this soon. Bit weird this year with the double wildcard and increase in banked transfers, but GW1 is way too early to infer anything too much about the teams and players on form, in my opinion. Plus, trust your judgement! You picked the players for a reason, at least give them 1 more week to repay the faith

  6. I don’t have a problem with any of these players making the team….but I kinda always hate these team of the week/season never being a real lineup. I know there are several formations and set ups so it makes it kinda hard to do, but 3 CBs and 1 fullback and 2 strikers with 1 winger.

Like, yeah, you could field this as a lineup and it be a really good side. But I’d just prefer if we were forced to pick one player at each position. There isn’t a RB, LW, or CAM in this team.

Rangers were 3-0 down within 20 minutes of their CL playoff game against Club Brugge. Fans are booing, throwing things, chanting to sack the manager. It’s all pretty good entertainment of you like a bit of schadenfreude.

    The Russell Martin effect.

6 players 21 or under for Club Brugge. Either Belgian football is underrated or Scottish football is pish. Both? Sorry @okayibelieveyou !

Wonder if the quiet agreement was that he could leave with years left on his contract, to join Liverpool, well under market value. :-/

    Edit to rant some more.

Also, Liverpool's concrete interest (at least publicly) in him didn't arrive until quite late in the window, so what exactly could he have agreed with the club? If nobody is actually forthcoming with a sensible offer, what does he expect will happen? What had happened at the point where he decided to go train with Sociedad?

I personally think there will be some form of "blockbuster" announcement on deadline day.

Liverpool owners said this summer they reckon they could get 1 billion supporters worldwide. Yes, I laughed. It's the sort of thing they'd do as a club to get maximum exposure.

I’m so over all of this lol just bid what they want or move on. What are we doing?

I mean, £120m is hardly "under market value" for Isak.

But, footballers NEED to stop taking these "gentlemen's agreements" at face value. Clubs will always screw you over if it benefits them.

Bit of both probably. Brugge are an excellent team and one that we should aspire to be more like but I mean, it is also not hard when Russell Martin's Rangers look a right good laugh with how much space they leave and their comical mistakes.

** I reserve the right to change this opinion dependant on the result v Rangers in a week and a half **

also not to be all man yells at cloud...

This was 13 days ago and we have signed NO ONE :crylaugh: We're going in to a pivotal qualifier, where we did get on paper an easy draw, with the same squad which is significantly weaker in attacking areas. Our. most recent link is 38 year old Jamie Vardy. If you don't laugh, you'll cry.

A lot of “player power” moves this summer imo. Isak, Gyokeres, Garnacho, Antony, Sancho amongst others. I do see some kind of reckoning coming soon.

Isn't it Mark Goldbridge hosting, though?

The Athletic said this morning Goldbridge has rights to his own Bundesliga show. Can't stand the fella.

Not quite. The Friday night games are on the BBC website and Mark Goldbridge’s channel, I guess they’re assuming/have worked out that they have very different audiences that won’t cannibalise each other.
