  2. Derby bought Charlotte’s striker, Patrick Agyemang.

Middlesbrough bought Charlotte’s CB/best player Adilson Malanda.

So tbh those are the main reasons I’ve narrowed it down to those two haha

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Favourite (maybe just most memorable) interaction with a Rovers fan was being in a rock club(ish) and this clearly underage kid in a raincoat managed to get in. He comes over and starts slurring some nonsense at myself and my group. He kept repeating something which sounded like "Ravens won!" at us, over and over. It took three of us to get him enunciate enough to realise he meant Rovers.

To top it off, a visiting friend of mine (who we were taking out for night) disappeared for an unusual amount of time. I checked my phone to find that he was hiding upstairs, in a toilet cubicle. Apparently this kid had fallen up the stairs and was asking everyone who went into the bathroom to punch his (apparently) dislocated shoulder back into place.

Anyway, they'll always be Bristol Ravens to me now.

Marca reporting Madrid want Gvardiol, Calafiori, or Van De Ven.

Am I mad to think they ain’t getting any of these?

Gvardiol was linked to Barca last week. I'm sensing an agent at work, haha.

Fulham have released Raul Jimenez on the eve of him representing Mexico at a home World Cup. Stay classy.

  9. VDV has done a complete 180 and seems to be staying. And apparently even helped recruit van Hecke. So I would be surprised.

Romero can be had tho, it seems.

Tbf, apparently he’s known for a while and there’s rumours he might even return to Wolves.

I’ve spent a lot of time in Wolverhampton. It has a really good alternative nightclub called Planet.

Otherwise, it’s a total shit hole. Would not recommend lol.

So you're telling me there's a chance I can visit a new planet in my lifetime?

In all seriousness, I have no issue with "Wolvo" or surrounding areas. The people have a tough gig when it comes to prosperity, similar to Liverpool, but they are sound people for the most part who are trying to live their lives. In fact, I met someone from Walsall on a dog walk the other day and we got talking about the Bescot and their hopes for next season.

  15. I was hoping it’d be closer to 50m but this price is still a decent drop from what we would’ve paid last summer. He is still very young and has a ton of talent. I know his time at City was disappointing but we’ve seen guys leave there and flourish. I don’t see why he can’t do the same.

And he really wants the move. So I hope it finally happens.

If Savinho figures out his shooting issue which seems more mental than anything, that will end up looking like a big steal for Tottenham. Just needs regular playing time to figure things out similar to Doku.

Just caught “The Bus” on Netflix about the French team’s meltdown in 2010. Had no idea about most of it. Only remember the headlines. What a bunch of adult babies.

By the time they got to the actual play by play of the bus incident, I was actually laughing.

If anyone wants to feel old, the Three Lions song was released on the 30th anniversary of Englands World Cup win, 30 years ago…

Yeah, both Liverpool and the Birmingham/West Midlands areas were victims of managed decline under Tory governments, and it’s put both cities decades behind where they should be in certain aspects. And that’s given them both a reputation they struggle to shake off (see the poverty chants Liverpool & Everton get).

But I love Birmingham and the surrounding areas. It gets a really bad rap online but I suspect part of that is because it isn’t a touristy place, it’s working class, and it’s one of the most multicultural cities we have in the UK outside of London.

That said, I wish the rapid gentrification it is undergoing at the moment didn’t make certain areas feel like such a permanent building site lol.
