FA Cup third round draw today. Our last three third round opponents have been City, Liverpool, and United, so I look forward to us somehow drawing the Monstars from Space Jam.
Yep, large transfer fee and ridding themselves of that huge albatross of a contract, improve the manager, someone that can get the best out of at least two of their huge summer signings.
God I'm absolutely begging for Middlesbrough to get Wolves at home after the Rob Edwards saga. Please FA, fix the draw.
Hoping for a home draw as I might try and snag a ticket for the new stadium. Even though I won't be alone with that thought process.
That’s a fun thought game. Which 11 players would the Monstars rob of their powers for the game vs Messi and the Looney Tunes?
I understand there will be things during this World Cup that are worthy of criticism…but there will also be things people complain about just to complain. And I think this is one of those things… Hydration breaks are not new. They’ve had them for much milder climates. It’s going to be hot. It’s good for the players. Am I missing something?
That reminds me of the video I watched yesterday by this British guy who was flabbergasted that all these NFL stadiums aren't in the city centers and "not even in the cities they're advertising." It's like, yeah, because to get to the suburb of Foxborough, Massachusetts you have to get to Boston first. Much easier for international fans to plan travel when they know the nearest international airport. That being said, calling San Jose San Francisco is a bit of a stretch... and that goes for the 49ers, too. Even if that entire peninsula is basically one giant, continuous metro.
I know Liverpool is a big big job and all that… But if I’m Xabi, I’m probably regretting leaving my great situation for the complete mess that Real Madrid turned into in such short time. Do I really want to just dive right into another very high profile job that is already a bit of a mess?
2am and 3am kick-offs in 2/3 of the games Ireland play in IF they qualify. I'd imagine the Guinness will never taste as good lol
The issue is that most British people can't fathom how big America is. In a 30 minute drive from my house I can get to both Manchester Clubs, Liverpool, Everton, Leeds and Burnley. That is just Premier League teams. It took me longer than that to get to Yankee stadium from Brooklyn in September.
This is how I learnt that they were real players and not just bad actors lmao. I need to watch that film again, it must have been 15 years.
Holy shit, hahahahaha Patrick Ewing, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Muggsy Bogues are four of the five off the top of my head.
i got the home draw i wanted. Can't see it being televised, either, with the other fixtures so Saturday 3pm is likely. Sunderland have one third of their squad at AFCON, too.
We got Portsmouth away, which I think is a deceptively tricky tie if we turn up with the reserves and just expect to win.
We lost to Hearts at home in Wilfried Nancy's first game. He switched us to 3-4-3 and probably highlighted how we don't have the squad for that formation so I'm intrigued to see how that plays out with us. We lost to probably our only two shots on target we faced but same old problems where we missed gilt edged chances to go ahead and be competitive in the game and we paid the price. He's getting some amount of grief though for his use of a tactics board. I don't think the support are behind it and we play Roma next and then a cup final on sunday.
Hilarious defending. Are Wolves going to win a game all season? It’s genuinely hard to see it at the moment.
