  1. The difference between the reaction to Kane’s departure and Son’s departure is pretty interesting.

Gotcha that’s what it was - the lack of voting rights despite investment. I’m sure he would scale that back to 25% or whatever it is he has to be at like with USG when both Brighton and USG were in Europe. I caught part of the Celtic home opener and they didn’t look great for sure.

    Is Kulu out for awhile?

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Son left at the highest of highs. Kane left when things were pretty down, while Son signed an extension to stay and win.

it also doesn’t help Kane is a cardboard box of personality lol

Do you think Johnson will nail that RW slot in the mean time? I suppose the Super Cup will give an idea. I can see:

    ----------Tel---------
    Kudus Sarr Johnson

Very exciting but no Son, Maddison or Kulu really is a creativity vacuum lol. Even Solanke hasn't played for Frank yet, right? I guess Odobert will get chances, too.

  7. Solanke should be fit by the Super Cup and should be starting the season opener. But not sure how we’ll lineup initially. Could depend on the opponent. But assuming Solanke is up top I think the three behind him could look like…

    Tel - Kudus - Johnson

    or

    Kudus - Bergvall/Sarr - Johnson

Super interesting. I knew some players had left, but I didn’t realise the full extent of it tbh. Weird the club are sitting on so much money unless they think they might need it for something else, I guess

Yeah, tbh I’d rather it was someone like Aberdeen who rose up, but it sort of feels like the league is so lop sided that the chance of a team doing it organically is basically zero.

Celtic seem to do that shit every five years or so

  10. Could also see Johnson at LW with Kudus RW

Honestly, the Tel - Kudus - Johnson triple up is probably a dream too far at PL level. Especially under a new manager. Sarr through the middle just ahead of Palhinha and Bentancur would give plenty of "steel" with quick transitions towards the wingers of Kudus/Tel at LW and Johnson at RW until Kulu is back.

All of a sudden you've got more options than you think? Haha. Take that from someone who knows Mykolenko will play and offer the same 7/10 every time.

Colwill injured long-term, apparently, so it looks like Wesley Fofana will be getting a chance to resurrect his career. Still only 24 and he cost £75m.

I dont think that's one Maddison can come back from at the highest level.

  16. MGW falling through hurts even more now. I don’t know what other #10 options are out there. Only player I’ve seen us linked to in that position recently is El Khannouss.

United getting scammed hard by Chelsea for Garnacho. We want only £40m, and even then Chelsea want to offer closer to £30m apparently. Insanity when players like Elanga, Madueke are going for over £50m. Liverpool want, and are likely to get, £50m for Harvey Elliot.

Garnacho has attitude questions and United are desperate to sell, so it'll happen. But people forget how young he is, that he's been playing for a dog shit team, is on relatively low wages, yet still has pretty decent G/A numbers. Any other club would be getting £65m easily, especially from an English buyer.

I wonder if an elite club comes in for "Smithy"?

I’d be pretty shocked if we moved baleba this window. I think he draws a ton of interest in January and we move him next summer, like caicedo.

    or maybe I’m just hoping

Head says it’s not happening, heart says we have Onana, Yoro, and Mbeumo tapping him up and Brighton are getting a cool 100m cheque to cash after the weekend.

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

And we're about to sign Sesko without any sales and still have Sancho, Antony, Garna, Hojlund, and Malacia on the books, I'm choosing to be delusional about it happening until it doesn't
