Be twice the ocean. Be twice the land.

Probably would have been neck and neck with Haaland in the league for the golden boot if we didnt sign big Vik.

Just remembered one was a penalty lol.

    I feel better now.

  3. CBS/Paramount is so terrible. The Spurs broadcast currently has the audio of a different match over the video of Spurs.

Prime example of a decision that's absolutely hilarious when it happens to a team like Liverpool

Suarez is well received in that part of the world, though!

  13. Good win today. Went down a man and added two more goals. Potential goal of the year from VDV.

Liverpool would end their skid vs Real Madrid of all teams.

Just caught the VDV goal. First thing that came to mind was his similar run last season (?) away to United (?). Not sure if he scored /assisted that game, but yeah, I will always like him for the bittersweet FPL joy he brought me recently lol

Looking forward to the Haaland derby later!

Apparently four Cardiff fans tried to fight him in a car park and he just sparked one of them out lmao, fair. imagine thinking you could beat a professional athlete in a fight.

Something a bit more serious, but I saw a post on Reddit recently for a NYT article about Sheikh Mansour, who owns Man City.

Essentially, he is funding and providing weapons for a paramilitary group that is committing a massacre in Sudan and has provoked a civil war.

There were Sudanese people in the comments talking about what has happened. It has resulted in the estimated deaths of over 500,000 children, and the displacement of over 8.5 million people alongside 3.5m who have had to flee the country.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/29/world/middleeast/emirates-manchester-city-soccer-sudan.html

Obviously it’s hard because we can’t control who owns our clubs, but it’s a reminder of how truly evil these people can be, and why they shouldn’t be defended.

Anyone wealthy enough to own a major sports team is always a bad person. 100% of the time, unfortunately.

Sure, but there are levels of bad.

I personally don’t think you can compare your average ultra capitalist billionaire with someone funding a massacre like Mansour or committing an active genocide like the Saudis. But for sure, none of them are nice, cuddly people.
