Mad stat: After 8 PL games, Arsenal have conceded just one goal from open play.

Obviously we won’t keep that up all season, but we must have the best defensive unit in world football right now.

  2. This is why I think you guys ultimately win this year. Defense has always been great. Now there’s even more depth back there. Attack is still in a little funk but it doesn’t matter because the other teams won’t score lol

  3. MLS playoffs are about to start. Charlotte finished 4th in the conference which means home advantage for the first round. Strong season overall, but the 10-game stretch in the middle of the season, where we were literally the worst team in the league, kept us from finishing even higher. But we finished super strong.

But of course…nothing is ever easy with my teams…

In the last few minutes of the win Saturday night, Zaha picked up a second yellow when he snapped and shoved a guy off the ball. He will now miss the first playoff game…ugh.

I think if our attack clicks, we’ll be really good. Havertz is quite a big miss, especially paired with Ødegaard being out. Gyokeres is struggling to adapt, too (although was unlucky not to score this weekend tbf).

I’m finding myself thinking, “Is there a team better than us this year?” And I’m not sure there is. But the last few years have definitely scarred me lol.

City look very good lately, but tbh if they lose Haaland to an injury I think they’re in real trouble.

    Better in time

Don't worry, once I sell Gyokeres in FPL, Arsenal will click at the other end of the pitch lol

Saturday at home against Brighton is going to be such a crucial game after the win at Anfield. Confidence and morale within the squad has never been higher under Amorim and if they can get a solid, professional win similar to the Sunderland game that’ll set a real positive tone for the rest of the season.

United teams in recent years would achieve that sort of result against a City or Liverpool but turn around the next weekend against a team like Brighton looking disjointed and flat footed. Can’t be stressed enough how much of the current issues with our squad are more down to getting over these mental hurdles than it is the system or player quality.
