Prime Dani Alves respawn. It’s a shame he’s an awful human because he was one of the most exciting to watch for like a decade straight.

Christ, I hate travelling to Wembley. Nightmare to get out of.

Remember when Arsenal used to play select Champions League games at the old Wembley? Am I making this up?

98/99 & 99/00. I think it was about proving to the banks that we could fill bigger stadiums, and therefore get our loan granted. Never went to those games though.

Didn’t realize Chelsea has started playing Chelsea Dagger after goals scored at home. NHL fans getting PTSD flashbacks of the 2010s Chicago Blackhawks.

Watford have had 22 managers (inc. caretakers) in the same time Atleti have had one lol.

I know there’s a lot of CFB yet to be played, but there’s not an insignificant chance that Miami just lost their ability to play a home playoff game with that Barcelona-Villarreal game being announced.

Edit: While relevant to this thread, I meant to post it in the NCAA thread, haha.

To be fair, he chose to leave them last time around to go to Villa. And that's coming from someone who can't stand the abusive rat.

COVID also saved his job and then he won his only league title with absolutely zero fans in attendance. Would be unbothered by him coming back.

Wasn't his success at the time put largely down to the support staff around him also, particularly Beale?

Isn’t that just Tuchel’s whole shtick? He’s like Mourinho with the whole “little horse” thing. “It’s us vs the world lads” kind of motivation.

That's true, but it also feels like more like pacification/covering his back to me.

That was the chat when he left them that Beale was the 'brains'. I think Emi Martinez discussed on the Ben Foster podcast that Beale done the team talks as well? Beale definitely can't go back with him after his failed spell as manager either.

  20. Vuskovic is insanely good. I haven’t been able to watch a game but it seems he’s one of the better CBs in Bundesliga this season. His stats are just crazy. And he’s 18 years old. Can’t wait for him to be starting for Spurs.

  21. One of close friends is from Tijuana and follows the team there. I try to keep up with them as well. Mora is a breakout phenom for them and is a super exciting prospect. 16 years old. He’s been linked with RM the most, but seeing this has me excited. My friend is also a huge Barca fan. So would be pretty cool.

I saw a graph that plotted Xga per 90 against touches in the box for teams defences, and Arsenal were right at the bottom corner, miles from anyone.

And it just made me appreciate how crazy it is for Arsenal to have surely the best defensive unit in world football, given that when Mikel turned up he had a back three of David Luiz, Sokratis, and Mustafi.

As more teams qualify for the World Cup, I can't help but doomthink how much of a clusterfuck Trump's State Department is going to be for visiting teams/fans due to the xenophobia/racism running rampant. Iran, Uzbekistan, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, and Algeria I imagine will all stoke some level of idiocy. There's a few others in Asia/Africa that I could see being an issue. Let alone what would happen if ICE showed up to any of the South/Central American team matches. (To be clear, none of their participations are an issue for me.) I wonder if they'll keep certain teams inside Mexico/Canada to avoid it.

I was really looking forward to hopefully attending some matches and having a World Cup on home soil for years. But everything sucks right now and the pricing is outrageous. It's all frankly embarrassing.

Our board met with our fan groups and the minutes have been released and our CEO is literally quoted in the agreed Minutes as shrugging at a question :crylaugh:
