Oh really? I've always seen people talking about it as if they had some in/out of formation thing that was hilariously abusable, but I guess that wasn't the case then. I was more of a Total Club Manager/Fifa Manager guy back then, I didn't end up making the switch until 2010, with the 2011 edition(s). I wonder what I've seen people talking about then? It's been a while so I doubt I'd find it again either way.

Much more cautiously optimistic for it then! I never used strikerless back then, and I think 4231 Gegenpress is strong but not overly so, so if they can get it around that level I think I'd be pretty satisfied.

 

It’s possible they had something more minor and I have forgotten about it, tbf. My memory is shocking at the best of times lol.

I’ve also come around on the UI, which I hated when I first saw it. Still annoyed they’re getting rid of the data hub though, that was actually super useful even though no one seemed to use it.

Why the fuck is he subbing CB’s every single game and changing the CB’s roles. 85 minutes in he moved MDL to RCB so he can bring on Maguire and Sunderland instantly get a chance with a player wide open and free on the side of the box MDL vacated because he’s been playing CCB all game.

 

Any chance it could be down to some absolute lunacy such as an appearance clause in Maguire's contract? I know they exist, not sure if they work like that, though. Maybe it breaks his contract legally if he doesn't make enough appearances? Wouldn't put anything past United.

 

Yeah, he’s looked way better the last couple of games but that was pretty anonymous. That said, without Odegaard he basically zero service.

 

No Amorim does it every single game. We were chasing the win against Fulham and he brought on two CB’s. There must be some reason he keeps doing it but we look so nervy every time he does it.

 

I should qualify that I recognize his contribution in the form of strongly holding onto the ball and passing it off to keep attack alive but still

 

Kudus was awesome today. What a singing he’s been. His decision making in the final third is improving every week. If he gets back into goal scoring form like his first season with West Ham, he’s going to be lethal.

 

Yes, I regret swapping him for Xavi. Don’t know what I was thinking.
