  1. Yeah, definitely talented. But maybe being thrown out into the big stage too early? He plays very reckless.

Yeah, worth remembering that he’s 18. Lots of time for him to develop still.

Martinelli, Havertz, Odegaard all dropping absolute stinkers. Hopefully they’re just getting them out of the way lol.

  5. I know it’s a friendly, but it’s nice to see more structure defensively. Arsenal haven’t been great but they’ve put some pressure on the back line and they’re always in position to make the block or create enough traffic to thwart the threat.

Should be a big year for Romero. It’s a little weird looking back how much he admired Ange considering how bad Ange’s tactics made him and the rest of our defense look.

I am a Tennessee Vols fan. It wasn’t said in malice hahaha. (All my pro alliances are Tampa, though.)

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

It’s been abysmal. Feels like a weird power struggle is going on too with Trevor being out now, I also feel like they all hate the current coach. Couple that with not wanting to spend money on players because of the new arena, it’s been bad.

Couldn’t watch the second half. I gather I didn’t miss much. We looked off it tbf.

Was really happy with the United performance last night. A level of confidence in the build up play and chance creation that we just did not see last year. Players like Hojlund, Mainoo, Dorgu really impressed while the likes of Heaven and Yoro continue to look like the real deal. Neither of the two new signing were involved which really speaks to how much of a positive the offseason and preseason has been for this group.

I think depending on how the rest of the window goes combined with the lack of extra football being played we could be a sneaky contender for a top four finish.

Had a successful op today. Feeling tender, akin to doing too many sit-ups basically, but I've managed to hold my sandwich down!

  13. Spence looked really good today at LB. That might be his better side tbh. Either way, we need to add another FB this window.

I don’t think we need another CB though. Danso and Vuskovic look like quality backups. And Dragusin will return from injury in a few months. That’s already good depth imo.

And I think we’ll target another AM/CM type player after losing out of MGW. Maddison is known to miss games. Kulu is out for 3-4 more months. We need another player that can give Maddison rest without giving up too much creativity. I don’t know how much I’d like it, but Elliott makes sense.

  17. Leagues Cup starts for Charlotte tonight. 3 games over the next week against Juarez, Chivas, Monterrey.

Can’t wait to boo Sergio Ramos next week.

A testament to the poor management at Bayern.

Fail to sign him under Tuchel, who single-handedly wanted him, during the summer two years ago.

Fire Tuchel, sign Palhinha for Kompany who doesn’t see him as a fit.

Don’t play him, basically, at all. Value is cratered, best case scenario is making just over half the money back a year later.

The Athletic FC Podcast are doing a series on massive transfers, and this week’s episode is Sol Campbell going from Tottenham to Arsenal. The Spurs reporter comes across as a bit of a prat at times, but it might interest people in here.

  21. If Pahlinha can be a similar player to what he was at Fulham, he’ll have a great impact on the team. Our midfield hasn’t been physical enough. We get bullied. Throw someone like Pahlinha into the mix and that changes. Excited to see him and Romero out there out together.

The Spurs guy needs anger management I swear lol. He eventually calms down and talks about the reaction from Spurs fans and how important he thinks it is to the club turning itself around over the next decade.

I liked the one on Van Persie to Man Utd too, even if that transfer was heart breaking at the time. You can look back at these things now and understand it a little bit more.

I wonder if they do Luis Figo from Barca to Real. That one cause so much grief. The Athletic has Barca and Real writers.
