Saw a fun stat that seven Hale Enders/graduates took part in yesterday’s game against AC Milan.

Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Reiss Nelson, Max Dowman, Josh Nichols, Marli Salmon

At least we already know the answer to the question “Who will we come second to this year?”

  10. I think he’ll sign with Liverpool

Isn’t Isak being offered almost Ronaldo money for Saudi?

The fact Isak has rejected a new contract spoils my first theory that this is all posturing for increased wages.

I’d imagine the money he’ll be offered by Liverpool won’t be bad either.

  15. What was the intended purpose of PSR and FFP rules? Because it doesn’t seem like a system that is working.

Reports Isak wants £300k p/w, and Newcastle “only” offered £200k.

If the "richest club in the world" is struggling to retain their key asset for a potential PL/Champions League push, it looks bleak for the rest.

Moreover, the best the "minnows" can hope to be now is a farm for the bigger clubs to pick off e.g. what Brighton are for Chelsea.

It's nice, but is it nice enough to make Lookman want to stay?

  22. It makes zero sense that he can be registered as a homegrown player.

He left Tottenham at age 16. Returned to England with Chelsea at age 21. He wasn’t HG for Chelsea. Now he can be for Arsenal?

    love a new thread

reading some quotes on Reddit, seems to be that the Premier League just didn't properly have information regarding him having spent 3 years at Tottenham before he left, and upon being prompted about it they went "oh yeah our bad, he has enough time in the English youth system, he should be"?

feels a bit mad they could have him slip through the net in that regard but I suppose he did spend his early senior career abroad so maybe fair enough?

  24. So being in Tottenham academy ages 13-16 is enough to count as HG? I thought they had to be there between certain ages different from that and actually play a game for the club.

Far as I was aware, I think it's just simply 3 years in the Academy before a certain age. No requirement for playing a game or anything.
