Not exactly the winger I was after

  3. Gotta say, Ream was the least friendly player I met at the meet and greet last year. He hasn’t been very good for Charlotte. And now he does this. Not a fan.

  4. Good money for us. Good opportunity for Pat. Happy with this.

Because I don’t know anything about the MLS finance rules other than that they are Byzantine and holding the league back, a windfall like this or the money inter Miami is getting from the tournament, how does that help the team if they can’t go out and pay for players over a certain wage?

Unbelievable defender, top professional, and really versatile. That knee injury that has basically taken away two whole seasons in a row. I hope Tomi can focus on his rehab and come back stronger, cause there’s a brilliant player there. That sucks.

Barca, can I interest you in a lightly used Marcus Rashford in these trying times? Special offer for you, £40m only.

The Nico Williams news is a win for the game in my view. He says he is where he wants to be with his people. As an Everton fan, I can relate with the Athletic Club fans today.

I can remember Roberto Baggio playing for them on Football Italia.

I like Nico staying at Athletic in a vacuum. It’s just annoying when Madrid tamper with players for years and get them on a free and nothing happens, but we tried to do it the right way by intending to pay the release clause they went to La Liga and were way outside the realm of normal business.

If it makes you feel better, at least he wanted to go to Barca at one point. Bayern was just edging themselves for a month over a dude who was clearly never interested.

100% it's been affected by Barca's ability to register him though. Last report was he asked categorically can Barca register him, Barca gave some wishy washy non commitment, next thing he's signed a huge new contract and binned them off.

We have yet to be able to register a single player we’ve purchased through this entire “crisis” despite all the hullabaloo the La Liga front office has made every single time. Yeah, it’s not been a free for all, but it’s pretty stupid to say “maybe not I guess” after spending weeks going “PICK ME!” when we already know at least five players have left the roster leaving plenty of space, with a few more outgoing already in the works.

    Well there we go.

Makes sense why there hasn't been any announcement about his contract ending (like Tomiyasu just had). I know these are just charges but there needs to be a detailed inquest into why Arsenal were prepared to give him a contract extension in the first place, and why he was still in the first team and present around Colney with support from the club?

The whole thing has been incredibly gross and I'm so glad he's finally gone. Dickhead.

Looks like the police charged him early because he was about to permanently leave the country. Now or never thing.

Very little to say that hasn’t already been said but fuck him, thank god he’s gone, and fuck whoever actually wanted to renew him (and thankfully didn’t).

Really gross he was allowed to play a full season, Arsenal were ready to renew, and he just got to keep going on like nothing happened.

  21. Apparently there’s a “Spurs tax” for Kudus. So dumb. Meanwhile, all the other London clubs and big 6 clubs swap players around annually. I hate lol

  22. Also, Arteta defending and advocating for Partey all this time is pretty gross.

Let's not forget the UK court judgement to protect his identity. I know rival fans always knew, but still.

wasn’t the final straw that Williams requested to be sold with no transfer fee if they couldn’t register him? If there is so much confidence about the ability to do so, why disagree to such a term?
