  3. Cunha + Mbuemo is nice because of the PL experience they bring with them. I know that’s stating the obvious, but it’ll make the transition so much easier. If United can grab a ST they should be much improved.

Gonna be a change to dislike Spurs because they became a scummy oil despot team, and not just cause they’re Spurs.

  6. I know Spurs were shit too but it’s amazing that United still have such a pull with the disappointment on the field, their rat infested stadium, and all the stories about how cheap the owners have been.

"Boomo" is quality. Good signing. Cunha is more difficult to gauge. Could flop given he's not the big fish in a small pond anymore. Also, his behaviour needs to be spot on.

wasn’t specifically coming after you in particular when I said that just fwiw, more so the notion that condemning it all can lead to the particularly bad cases being dismissed easier as part of a spoiled bunch

Gonna be fun to see which midtable picks up Mbuemo in two years when he needs to resurrect his career.

A Bruno-Mbuemo midfield would be only as great as the DM they can field behind them.

Bruno has been playing in central midfield since Amorim took over, and will do so next season if he’s still around. Your point is totally valid though. Bruno, Mainoo, Casemiro, Ugarte is a really rough group of midfielders no matter which way you slice it. I’ve seen no links to any at all which worries me, I think we need two Czm signings on the same level of Cunha and Mbeumo to be honest with you. Some light reporting showing interest in Wharton from Palace but definitely nothing substantial.

What about Amad? Doesn't his position clash with Mbeumo's? United don't have Europe.

Amad will move over to RWB. Amorim prefers to have at least one converted winger play as an aggressively attacking wing back, if not both of them playing that role.

  15. Good for him. Hate the way his playing career ended. The way Spurs handled it is one of the few things they’ve done right. And he’s made the most of it.

Fuck, just thinking about Mbeumo playing as a RWB at least once makes me feel uneasy. Hopefully he has the shackles off further up the pitch.

I imagine it’ll be a fair amount of interchanging and overlapping within game, having two left footed wingers so close to each other feels like an intentional overload where having both on that side would lead to minimal levels of traditional defending forever ends up in that wingback spot. Like a lot of these modern systems, it should work best with positional fluidity and ambiguity.

    Bellingham off to Dortmund!

    Jobe.

    It's all hell.

Not being disrespectful to Jobe but is he a €40m player? Admittedly I haven't seen much of him play for Sunderland, but that much seems a bit steep for an attacking midfielder who scored 4 goals in 40 games in the championship this season?

Is it the Bellingham name tax?

If Mbuemo came packaged with Wissa then United would really have my attention

Not seen loads of him myself, but seen Sunderland fans saying he's a different profile of player to Jude. More of a traditional 8, puts himself about a bit, rather than creating and goal scoring. Most are saying he's not a €40m player yet though.

Guess they better sell Eze to Bayern quickly to get their funding balanced before this meeting?

RE: Kelleher. I've just read that his local club in Cork (Ireland) will get £3m due to the 20% sell-on clause. That should set the club up for decades
