Using the 20m saved from not signing Sancho to go for United target Delap is objectively the right move and also some real bullshit

  3. Delap to Chelsea and Gyokeres to Arsenal would be awful imo

United ending their worst season in the PL era with an Asian tour, where they lose to a random “all star” team, have to endure a depressing “parade”, and now Amad is in the news for being filmed swearing at fans…

It just won’t end for them.

I saw some footage of the parade where a Malaysian man trolls them in a Man City kit haha. It never ends.

Everton heavily linked to Stuttgart's Nick Woltemade @orangehorizon

A German! I've heard he's like Peter Crouch with superior technical ability?

  10. Chelsea - Delap
    Arsenal - Sesko

Who else is going for a big striker move? United? Spurs? Liverpool?

Curious where Gyokeres ends up. Spurs do have some Swedes to recruit him!

Depends on price, but I like that move. Think he suits us more than Gyokeres.

He’s young, and has potential to grow and become really good, but he also won’t have the pressure of playing every game. Havertz will definitely play more than people expect next season, so this means he can continue to improve without being expected to immediately lead us to a title as the sole striker.

Bruno off to the Saudi league really picking up, his agent holding talks over there, Saudi sources saying it’s happening. Can see United reluctantly accepting a major offer if it means they could turn around and do something like Cunha/Gyokeres/Mbeumo all in the same summer with the potential for more incomings based on whoever else we can move on from.

Would be devastated to see him go, but I think if you could guarantee the money went to the right kind of deals we otherwise couldn’t pull off the summer I would ultimately say it’s the right idea to move on.

I see both sides of the Bruno thing. He's tied for my favourite United player ever at this point, so would be absolutely devastated to see him go. If it was any team in Europe it would be painful, but it being to a retirement league eases it slightly.

United's major, major problem of the last however many years has been losing players for little to no value. The whole Woodward philosophy of extending contracts till a player is crocked then leaving on a free. In the era of FFP, it's even more important to know when to cut loose and get some value back.

Bruno is absolutely irreplaceable in terms of value to the team and pure numbers. But he also has played 60 games a year basically his entire career and never been injured. If United reject the offer and next year he begins to break down, they're completely fucked - having to replace his output without the income to be able to attempt it.

I have absolutely zero confidence in United's capability to invest the money wisely. And for sure, this will end with United looking like idiots regardless of the decision - they always do. But it's an important moment, and maybe the club needs to do it, to fully commit to a rebuild and accept their current place in English football. The longer they mess around the edges without committing, the longer this era will go on.

(Didn't expect that essay when I started typing, whoops)

This is my thinking. Even as a neutral, it's clear that he's a colossally good captain. The amount of times I've seen him completely change a game. I mean, Everton fans hate him because he always turns up against us. Just look at the 2nd half at Goodison this season - that's Bruno in a nutshell to me.

There will be a day where you'll have to replace him anyway, but is this summer the right moment? It's difficult to assess. You could end up having a worse period for awhile. As difficult as that is to comprehend. Like you say, maybe United fans will have to accept their current place in English football for longer than they'd like? Just hope and prayer you don't spend the money like we did with Lukaku's.

Completely mental that Liverpool have managed to somehow get €10m from this.

Rashford’s agent is trying really really hard to make Barcelona happen. United apparently want 40m for him. I don’t see us paying that (because we can’t, we don’t need him, and he’s not worth it at his current level) nor do I see United getting that asking price from anyone not in Saudi.

think it goes to show how dire the Madrid injury crisis got there at the end. they’d legit be playing academy players at the CWC, which they’re treating as something way more than it actually is at this point because of failing to win anything else this season.

The CWC has had a reform and there's quite a lot of money at stake now. Only saying cause I thought it was a Mickey Mouse tournament with nothing on offer, too lol
