Well, basically because they make like 30% of what United do, mostly, and PSR makes that even more important. Right or wrong, they agreed to those rules.

But also Villa have been spending way above their means for a few seasons. I think they spend like 120% on their income of player salaries alone. Which regardless of PSR is fucking mental and is why Leicester totally shat the bed.

fwiw Atleti is circling for Cardoso

  4. Yeah, I’ve seen that too. Apparently other teams can make bids and Spurs have ability to match it. Or if no one outbids the current option we have, we can sign him for that. It’s confusing lol

  5. I don’t think he’s alone either

United being linked with Mbeumo now, what a transformed front line that would be in addition to Cunha and Delap.

This is why Everton fans say we're Liverpool's only club haha.

  8. Revamped front 3 with guys that have premier league experience would be huge for United. Would definitely be jealous of that attack with Bruno behind them.

Espanyol keeper Joan Garcia not only saved a penalty to keep them in La Liga, but he’s just publicly rejected Barcelona. Guy’s gonna be a cult hero there for sure.

My money is on him going to Newcastle.

Garcia another one linked with United, Onana to Saudi has picked up steam with him being left out against Villa.

  11. I need Onana to stick around. He’s been apart of the two biggest Spurs moments since I’ve been a fan.

Probably some South Americans but goodness I need Brighton to load up on defenders this window like they’re speedy wingers last year.

  13. Love it when Chelsea calls another club for a player and that club just slaps an absurd price tag on the player lol and it seems to always work

Poor Broja. Sent back from another unsuccessful loan and now he knows Chelsea don't give a shit. In The Championship you go...

You can’t forget that all of the things INEOS were (rightly) maligned for throughout the season were for the sake of getting operational costs as low as possible to bulk up the transfer budget and help their FFP case. Widely reported that there’s 100m to start with (Cunha & Delap) and that everything else will be dependent on sales.

Garnacho, Rashford, Antony, Sancho, Onana, Hojlund seem like the six absolutely certain to leave. Lower salaries due to missing out on the CL is actually a blessing when it comes to getting these guys off the books. Easier said than done getting them all off the books but there’s an extra 150m generated at minimum if they can manage to ship off all six.

Looks like there's been a serious incident at the Liverpool parade. I feel like an arsehole now. Hoping for the best.

Reminds me of Hazard's v Liverpool in the cup.

  20. Welp. Cross him off the list for Spurs.

    It's all hell.

I'm currently in Naples with my partner. We missed the parade yesterday because we were visiting Pompeii (which I would recommend, a 10/10 trip) but there is still a huge buzz, banners, bunting and murals everywhere, fans still in bars. It's just a city that fucking loves it's team.

I've also never been to a place where they love anything as much as Naples loves Maradonna. He is literally everywhere. Bigger than Jesus. I went to the mural/shrine earlier and it is sick. Definitely recommend to anyone coming this way/ Sorrento/ Amalfi Coast (if you don't mind it being a little too sketchy).

They also absolutely adore McTominay. Who would have guessed he would become such a hero?

  23. Assuming there aren’t any unexpected players leaving, I think I’d prefer Spurs to invest big in two positions vs a typical window of 4-5 guys coming in. I think we have solid depth, but we’re lacking real game-changers. Go get a stud DM and a stud LW/RW and I think it makes us so much better.

For the attacker, I wouldn’t be surprised if we went back to Eze. He was the top target last summer and it just didn’t work out because of his release clause. I could see it happening this time.

For the DM, I really have no clue. I really like Angelo Stiller but he seems to be off to Madrid. I also like Wharton but I don’t think Palace sells him this summer. I don’t know who else is out there that’d be a clear upgrade. Maybe Baleba?

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Newcastle's sporting director just resigned after just a year in charge, after presiding over no signings and a rumoured falling out with Howe, right before the most important transfer window we've had in a very long time.

No announcement on a plan or replacement. Rumour that Howe is taking over the transfers.

    Great. :crylaugh:

But in my mind I find

Uh oh! Wasn't Howe the man who thought Jordan Ibe was worth £18m?
