    He came, he saw.

We're going to need to explain this one to our American friends, right? Unless we're on about molten slag, of course lol

I was trying to describe myself to someone

I think for me, the sour thing is that Spurs had a run of pretty turgid teams, didn't really look all that great against most of them and then coupled that with a diabolical league showing. If they'd shown some form in the league after the big injury crisis and put some eye catching performances in against the minnows or the final, then at least there'd be some more gloss around taking the trophy home.

Prior to the final I saw people talking up the two domestic cup wins and how this would be a third unfancied team. I couldn't help but think that one situation was very different from the other two.

I imagine season ticket holders must be feeling pretty conflicted, having watched (and paid a lot for the misery) that trash all season, whilst the team stumbles to a win in a competition which has been unusually damp.

Just having recapped who was in the Europa this year, it has been unusually sloppy. There seems to have been a bit of a perfect storm of underpowered minnows and bigger names having unusually poor seasons.

Completely nuts. Made his bed by moving to a retirement league with zero competition. There's not an abundance of quality English strikers, but there's enough to fill the squad - Kane, Watkins, Delap, Solanke is more than enough.

I was, and am, as anti-Southgate as any United fan, but there's zero chance he'd have done a worse job this year than Amorim. At least Southgate has shown some semblance of tactical variety/ flexibility.

Southgate would’ve made more sense when Ashworth was around. One thing I will give him is how he managed to change the negative and toxic culture around both inside and surrounding the England side.

This will go down well with the Daily Mail brigade I’m sure.

  10. Are White and Calafiori the ideal fullbacks next year?

I think the idea is that White and Timber share the RB spot, but so far they’ve both had serious injuries that have stopped us doing that.

On the left, I think it’s a similar case with MLS and Calafiori. Although, I’m not entirely sure it’s either player’s best position.

  13. And you think they can keep both starting CBs? I never know what is a serious report and what isn’t for other teams lol

  14. €150M apparently

Yeah, I think they’ll stay. No idea for how long lol. Real are definitely circling but maybe getting Huijsen keeps them at bay.

Saliba being a boyhood Arsenal fan is probably helping us keep him away from them right now.

I would have paid Jim Ratcliffe good money to let me attend the BBQ at Carrington. Would be like being the energy vampire in What We Do In The Shadows.

Saw Liverpool were given positive links to Sesko today, feels like Arsenal have been tracking him forever as well so would be a surprise to see him go to Liverpool.

Welp, this is a kick in the balls. Gonna have to starting disliking him.

  19. Liverpool did nothing in the window last year and won the league. This year, and it’s not even June, they’ve pretty much already locked up Frimpong, Kerkez, and Wirtz. Ridiculous lol
