What's wrong with showing emotion now that the season is over for winning a trophy?

Erik Ten Hag played Mazraoui at 10 ahead of Amad.

    It's all hell.

No not at all! I hope you didn't think I was referring to you. (I actually think your comparison with Dyche is actually pretty apt haha).

I was referring to the same irrational Arsenal fans that seem to come out of the woodwork every time something doesn't go our way. I was seeing Auba revisionism in big old 2025 on the tl!

    You're good pal!

You’d be raging if you were an Arsenal fan knowing one of United or Spurs are going to have a better season than Arsenal :covermouth:

  11. Ange being unbeaten against United, including 3 wins this season, convinces me that we’re due for a loss against them…

    It's all hell.

The absolute nightmare is PL - Liverpool, Europe - Spurs or United, FA Cup - City, and City finishing above us and it's probably going to happen :crylaugh:

  15. Ange can win me over so easy with his speeches. If we take him the trophy I’m gonna be full back in even though we should move on haha

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

He’s the first since Poch to truly talk about the club like he cares passionately and wants to be here. Like; the dude knows he’s probably gone and he still talks as if he would die for this club. That’s been sorely missed after the last managers. If he wins Europa it’ll be so hard to move on even though I know his style just isn’t sustainable for this many competitions

This match will be awesome. Lisbon derby on Saturday evening, with Sporting and Benfica level on points going into the penultimate game of the season.

If either team win, they wrap up the title. If it’s a draw, it goes to the final gameweek with Sporting just needing to match Benfica’s result.

  18. I haven’t completely fact checked these numbers but it is night and day difference when we have a fully healthy backline compared to when we don’t. And it’s mostly the CB pairing imo.

But the back four + Vicario starting together since the start of last season:

    Played: 28
    Won: 17
    Drawn: 6
    Lost: 5

The worry is that we turn into a complete trash team if we’re missing some of those players lol that isn’t a good thing. Whether it’s the squad building or Ange’s ability to manage the squad, it’s unacceptable to take such a poor turn in form if someone goes out.

With that said, we had the whole back line out at once for several games + guys out in other positions for large chunks of the season. So it’s really hard to evaluate it all. And maybe makes what I just said above unfair.

But we’ve been fairly healthy recently and the league form hasn’t improved. At all. Granted, we are heavily rotating the team for league games, but I don’t like the mentality of mailing those games in. With how pathetic we’ve been all season, I’d like to see them pushing for a strong league finish. But I get it, I guess.

All in all, I think some of this proves we do have a much stronger squad than we’ve shown. And even though the injuries were an issue, it’s hard for me to feel good about continuing with Ange after this season.

I don’t think his upside as a manager is much higher than what we could get by hiring someone new. But the potential floor with Ange is truly scary.
