Comfortably the dominant team, but we don’t take our chances and they do. We need to keep believing. Get one and we can get them rocking.

Yeah get it. It sucks. I’m not saying he’s a bad player but he seems to be playing within himself every time I see him. I’d say it’s frustrating

Even the PSG players don’t think it’s a penalty. What a fucking joke.

stupid penalty. Back turned, not really outstretched based on body position, and barely an impact on how the ball travelled (though I know that last part doesn't matter) but I'd be peeved at that.

This PSG team are unreal but I hope Inter win it because they aren’t a front for sportswashing.

  17. I know it actually means nothing but it is kinda funny that PSG went through the 3 PL teams in knockouts when all the PL fans call French league a farmer’s league or whatever

    the very best day

I remember my gf had just gotten home from student teaching and was napping on my shoulder when I went ballistic when Origi scored the winner, then I had to go work at my library job where I just kept watching highlights on repeat in between helping patrons

no salah, no firmino, robertson off at half time injured, fabinho playing the vast majority of the game on a (terribly given) yellow

And yet people still think it was his choice to not sign one in January lol. The board gave up on this season and in the end, it cost us massively.

Still bummed out about last night. I genuinely thought we played really well in periods, but PSG were just so bloody clinical.

This next window feels really important to ensure we're not taking a backwards step next season. The squad is just too thin. We have one striker, one senior goalkeeper (who isn't on loan), and no game changers who you'd be excited about coming off the bench.

We also need to refresh the midfield, especially with Jorgi leaving and whatever is happening with Partey. The LW position desperately needs addressing as well, and obviously Saliba's contract situation must be a priority.

Arteta and Berta have a busy summer ahead.

Something I’ve been thinking about recently is that I remember after football resumed in the pandemic, we lost 5-1 to City and 2-1 to Brighton, and looked hopeless. I think Arteta had just took over and we were in midtable.

I vividly remember going for a walk after the Brighton game and thinking that I’ll probably never see us compete for PL or CL trophies again, let alone win them, and I made peace with that. The problems were everywhere, on the pitch, off the pitch, in the fanbase.

We’ve come a long way in a few years, and ultimately if the club had backed the manager this summer/winter, we could have achieved our goals. It’s a missed opportunity, but I hope the club know that. Reports that players were in tears in the dressing room aren’t great, but if the club spend, hopefully we can do something next year.

  24. I don’t like Arteta for a few reasons lol but he’s getting too much shit for losing that matchup. Arsenal were lucky to win the previous round imo. He exceeded realistic expectations. But I do agree this summer is big for them. Not just getting a striker, but keeping a couple guys from leaving as well.
