    5-1 on aggregate.

The fact that Bayern loses and the final play is Coman launching a ball a dozen yards over the goal from inside the box is just so fitting.

Always disappointing to be knocked out, but at no point did Bayern feel like a team destined to win a big trophy this season. As long as Sane/Gnabry/Coman are so integral to the offensive gameplan (and on the roster) it won’t feel good.

Now will Harry Kane be able to hold on to the Bundesliga?

Now it’s over, I can admit that dad and I were openly laughing at Real Madrid in that final 10 minutes when they were getting stroppy, falling over, and playing like shit.

    Real who?

  6. That was a real win/win lose/lose situation for me. I can’t stand either team lol happy to see Real get embarrassed in the end.

Both semi finals should be very good though. Hopefully Barca wins out.

Barca/Inter would be the first CL in ages I would have no problem with either team winning

Feel like he will wait to the end of the season to save money. There would be no reason to sack him until the end of the season at that point unless the coach you want is ready to come right in.

Saka has not played like someone who has just come back from a big injury. These are the only games he has started, too.

It’s actually crazy how good his is. Yesterday, as an 18 year old, he bossed the Bernabeu. Kid is going to be genuinely world class.

Plus, he’a an excellent shit house.

There's a distinct lack of coverage in the media for Arsenal getting through v Liverpool getting knocked out. Liverpool got in depth analysis on the BBC, for example. Just the regular live blog for Arsenal's triumph as it stands.

In fact, there seems to be more interest in Ancelotti's future lol

Maybe it's the hopium or maybe it's 15 years of watching similar decisions slowly destroy United, but it feels like Liverpool paying such huge amounts to VvD and Salah could backfire.

£400k p/w for van Dijk, more than that for Salah. Easier to get out of with them being short contracts, but if they significantly regress with age, it could get tough.

Impossible position really as you can't lose 2 of the best players in the League on a free, but still.

Gonna ruin one of my favourite childhood songs when we lose to Barcelona in the final, soundtracked to “I tried so hard and got so far, and in the end it doesn’t even matter.”

Seeing VVD and Salah on 400k a week at 32/33. I wonder what the upper limit of salaries are in non state owned European Clubs. There’s precious few players in top 5 leagues I’d be comfortable saying they’re worth more than what Liverpool just gave out, so I wonder if salaries are going to keep rising or will there be a level off and possible recession.

  20. Tel getting the start in Son’s spot. I like it. This lineup is good enough to win and shouldn’t look like complete shit. But we’ll see how it goes…

Romano is "reporting" Ancelotti will be let go after the Copa Del Rey final. Xabi incoming? Klopp?

Casual reminder Son is the same age as Salah. One seems to have their body catching up with them, the other doesn't.

Today I learned Gylfi Sigurdsson is playing soccer again in Iceland and that all the charges against him just ended up not being anything?

  25. KrisArronNev

    He came, he saw.

Yup, the charges were dropped in 2023 and he didn't even sue the British authorities. He had a brief stint in Denmark, too. He's still seen as a popular figure in Iceland.
