This may completely make zero sense to the Euros in here, but my local USL team is doing something hilarious re probably the biggest sports story in the US right now:

 

lmao La Liga didn’t even suspend him for more than one game

 

I know it's pot-kettle stuff with the Premier League allowing City's blatant cheating for 15 years, but La Liga is easily the most corrupt of Europe's top leagues.

Whole thing is a joke.

 

I think I saw something that the ref's match report said he was going for the ball and that therefore the foul happened because the ball was in play. Guess that limits how much the suspension can be, which makes no fucking sense to me.

The thing too is the ref gave him a yellow at first and VAR had to call him over to go look at the red. Saw on Reddit that people are saying the ref of that match has a fucking huge Barca bias that is well known across the league.

Still love Emi, even if four or so years on he’s still acting like we committed a heinous crime in selling him. I remember him crying after we won the FA cup when he came into the team. I’ll always have a soft spot for him.
