"Are you Tottenham in disguise?" while absolutely battering one of Europe's top clubs, is an all time great chant

Yea, I didn't see this Arsenal score especially after they failed to capitalize on Liverpool losing this weekend but they have deserved every bit of not just the win, but the great cushion (so far).

Okay, that silly second yellow is quite funny when it isn’t us

Well, Vini won’t be getting the Balon D’Or this year anyway.

  6. It’s hurts but it’s also nice knowing that even at their highest moments they’re thinking about us

    Shout out Jakub Kiwior.

He doesn’t get much game time due to Saliba and Gabriel’s great partnership, and his main run in our team was as a fifth-choice LB last year that ended with him being exposed by Leroy Sane.

In midweek, he liked a video that was addressed to him from a Polish Arsenal account saying it was “his moment” and hyping him up.

Comes in for a CL knockout tie against Real Madrid and was fucking excellent tonight in the biggest club game of his life. So happy for him.

    It's all hell.

I wish I'd done some better preplanning. We had Cubs tickets so wanted to stay close to Wrigley Field (and I admittedly did little to no research lol). Thanks for the recs though!

Really excited for PSG v Villa tonight. PSG are a much better proposition now they're not the "Paris Globetrotters" and Villa are in great form. Rashford to be the bane of PSG again?

He shook off all those nerves in the first couple of moments and then absolutely delivered. What a performance. What a massive step up for him. And what a night, unforgettable for so many reasons. Like James said, "The greatest night in the Stadium's history." Right up there with Arshavin's goal in 2011. These are the moments we’ll be replaying, reliving, and talking about for years to come.

Yeah, it’s hard to think of much that beats it. It’s only half the job, and anything can happen in Madrid, but it felt like a performance where we arrived as a widely recognised force.

Said to a colleague today, I’d take a 2-0 loss in the next leg right now ha. Just need to get through it. The only team I would fear in the competition after this is Barcelona.

  18. I mean, sure lol but if we’re so shit why do Arsenal fans constantly sing about us? They can’t go a match without doing it. We’re so beneath Arsenal yet always on their mind. The Arsenal-Chelsea matches are now just a pow-wow between the fans to sing about Spurs. It’s weird behavior lol

  19. And I don’t say that to shit on their win. Cleary a very good team when healthy so it is deserved.

Just think it’s funny they sing about us in the process.

To be serious, I think this comes from UK banter culture. I often see overseas fans saying this so I guess it’s a UK specific trait. Almost every team does it, and it’s considered pretty normal. I went to see a Blackpool game once with a friend from uni and they were singing a song for an Arsenal loan player that rhymed tangerine with “fucking hate PNE” lol.

I assume it’s not a thing in US sports then?

It’s just typical rivalry stuff. No different than going to a UNC/Duke game and hearing both sides chsnting shit about NC State.

Rice's 2nd freekick is one of the best I've ever seen. Hope he takes some for England now.

  23. I saw a tweet from before the game pointing out that he was practicing them in warmups and hitting top corner every time. And then he did it again in the game lol

This is one of my favourites, although obviously less high profile. Shows how good he was that teams were making seven man walls lol
