Feel like that game could have gone on till next weekend without either team scoring

The answer it turns out, is the second half.

I guess both teams just want the season to end.

City have wanted the season to end since early November tbf.

Been a bad season all around for the league. Relegation battle was decided by Christmas, Arsenal’s injuries mean Liverpool have gone unchallenged, Chelsea and City are billion dollar bullshitters. Forrest being the one good story this year is even marred by ownership and spending nonsense.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

The battle for the European spots is still pretty good. Forest getting CL would be amazing. Newcastle and Villa shoving out City and Chelsea would be quite entertaining and give us quite a different set of teams in Europe next year.

Liverpool winning the league easily didn't seem so bad to me until they started being a bit shit. After cruising for such long parts of the season, seeing them flopping around like they are now does make it looks like they're winning more by the incompetence of the rest of the league, rather than how excellent they were for long stretches.

The relegation battle has been a joke this year. Ipswich at least have at least had the excuse of back to back promotions, had a lot of League 1 standard players around still and they have still given a better go at it than the other two. Leicester and Southampton should be suspended from football for how bad they've been. :crylaugh:

Southampton in particular just don't seem to have made any genuine attempt to compete at all.

I’ve sort of lost interest in the league lately. It’s been obvious since October that we never stood a chance, but it goes beyond that.

Whether it’s Brighton, Bournemouth, Spurs, or Arsenal, teams are being completely decimated by injuries. The atmosphere at PL matches has been declining for a few years now too as proper fans get priced out, and VAR doesn’t help cause it ruins goals and takes five minutes to make a decision. You can’t even enjoy a win (or in the case of the last derby at Goodison, a last minute equaliser) without some prick saying “LiKe YoU’vE wOn ThE lEaGuE hAhA”.

The standard of refereeing is shocking, too. Just thinking about matches involving my own club, the amount of bad decisions is incredible. Trossard sent off for kicking a ball .6 of a second after the whistle, Rice sent off for kicking a ball two yards away when the free kick couldn’t be taken anyway, MLS sent off for a trip, the penalty on Saturday, etc. Then you include things like Tarkowski’s obvious red midweek.

And that’s before you get onto teams like Man City and Chelsea blatantly cheating and no one gives a fuck.

The one time I get fancy and (C) someone other than Salah, and Isak hasn't travelled with the squad. Least I get some juicy points off the bench.

Edit - actually, conflicting reports. Need a haul from him if he does play!

Love this. He got a more authentically British experience than he could have ever expected. They were even chanting his name during the game - “Evan is a shrimper”

This reminds me of the Celtic fans who adopted me at the 2012 UCL match at the Camp Nou, if anyone is even left around here from those days. Amazing night.

Gonna sit back and watch Modric roll back the years. Not for the first time, either!

I love that we’re back at the point again where we can take part in these games. A few years back we weren’t in Europe at all, now we’re playing Real Madrid in the CL knockouts.

Just hoping we can get some form of result at home, or at least keep it close. Bit scared that without our best CB and with such a young kid at LB, we’re going to be in trouble defensively.

Madrid keeps trying to play all four of Bellingham, Rodrygo, Vini, and Mbappe instead of having one more midfielder that will actually do something. It mostly works for them, but then it also falls apart spectacularly.
