Good for him. He looked rusty midweek but it was his first start since August I think.

  11. This definitely a great team goal. But I think one of our biggest problems this year is that we try to score every goal this way. Perfect passing with every player getting a touch until it’s a tap-in at the goal. It’s too difficult to do consistently. And it’s why we go stretches with absolutely nothing happening.

Great strike from marmoush. He’s so good.

If Southampton lose this, they will be on track for 11 points all season, equalling the Derby County record.

Never thought I’d see a team do it, but they just might.

It’s some football manager shit to have the ability to just sell Alvarez one window and bring in marmoush in the next.

    He came, he saw.

Looking at who could be coming up, i think we could see similar next season. Closed shop, etc.

Whilst I agree with the point regarding the gap between the leagues, I kind of think it hasn’t helped that the last two years have had particularly poor promoted sides.

This year, you have a Southampton whose squad was never good enough and had almost no reinforcements, an Ipswich team who have some good players but were in League One 18 months ago, and a Leicester team who were actively worse than the one that got relegated a year before.

Last year, we had a god awful Sheff Utd, Burnley doing a suicidal job interview for Kompany, and a Luton team who adapted well but just lacked the quality in certain areas.

The year before, all three stayed up and it was the best that promoted teams have done for a long, long time. I haven’t been following the Championship too much this year, but I know Burnley are very defensively solid so I think they’ll have a chance at least.

  25. Snapped a cool pic of Zaha tonight. Huge win. The first four game gauntlet to our season is over. 7 out of 12 points is perfectly fine with me lol now let’s grow from here.
