Yep. If he gets eliminated in the first round of knockouts in a competition that we should be series contenders to win, it’s probably over. Not all his fault but it’s too much losing. We had a good enough team today and looked pathetic most of the game.

 

The team is also very young overall. Another reason we struggle. But it’s still no excuse to look like what we did today. I think it’d be an attractive job with the way we’ve been approaching the windows tbh. We really do have a lot of promising players.

Genuinely up there with the most cowardly decisions I've seen a player make. Attempting that early cross, given the context (2 on 2, striker in the box and goal side of the CB, away from home in Europe), should be one of the simplest choices a player can make. Execution is another thing, but at least attempt to play the pass.
