  1. I think Newcastle will end their drought though. So that’ll be fun to watch.

Wow Rashford definitely struggling with something other than booze.

You don’t lack the self-awareness to go into a globally broadcast interview like that unless you’re really struggling.

Thiago Messi apparently scored 11 goals in his U-13 club match today. They won 12-0.

Which interview is this? I agree though, reckon a lot is going to come out in the in the future about what's been going on.

I think that's the end for Ange.

  10. Not saying he makes it the entire season, but sacking him after last night would be dumb.

  11. Semi-finals being double legged still makes no sense to me. Just one round of the entire tournament has a different format. It’s weird.

It felt like a few years ago when it was the first time they didn’t have the away goal rule in the double leg round. We lost to Chelsea in the semi. Would’ve advanced if away goals mattered. But of course, they no longer did.

This one. He looks hungover. I hope the loan spell brings the reset he needs.

The one thing he had going for him was the cup run and to a lesser extent Europe. Considering (as I've just seen pointed out) Spurs sacked Mourinho in the build-up to a cup final, greater men have been sacked for less.

  14. Maybe. But context matters.

Mourinho wasn’t missing double digit players for 2 months. Ange has been forced to play with severely limited numbers while in four competitions during the most congested part of the schedule.

Mourinho also lost the locker room and created a toxic environment. Despite all the shit we’ve been through this year, the players are still heavily backing Ange and understand the position he and the team are in. And they do so publicly.

Mourinho was targeting and bringing in players to “win now”. Ange’s time, we’ve been buying super young. Clearly buying for the future. Last night I think at one point we had 3-4 teenagers on the field together. Super young players + a handful of senior players running of fumes is all we have right now.

I hate to sound like a broken record. But I don’t know what people want him to do. Any manager would be struggling in this situation. If he gets canned, then so be it. I’ll understand to an extent. But I don’t know how you can have a fair assessment of “Ange ball” when he can’t actually implement it properly.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I’ve said it 100 times. Ange is not the problem. It’s still undecided if he’s the solution. Sacking managers over and over again doesn’t seem like the answer. If performances keep up the same way and players start to turn, then yes, a discussion of moving on would need to be had.

  17. He’s not the problem but unsure if he’s the solution is the most fair perspective I’ve seen.

Also, sacking Mourinho before the cup final was stupid. And it’s just another example of how stupid the club is.

  18. I saw some graphic of which clubs have the most minutes played by teenagers.

Arsenal was #2, right at 2k minutes.

Spurs were #1, with basically 4k minutes.

    Absurd lol

The way I see it Spurs are only being saved from a relegation battle by the fact the bottom four are so poor.

  20. Agreed. But we aren’t there because of him. And getting rid of him won’t change the situation either.

Damn, I’m so glad we spent the last two windows not buying ANY attackers. We were already light up top, but losing Saka, Jesus, and Martinelli is basically a season ender.

We now have Havertz and Trossard, the ghost of Raheem Sterling, and a 17 year old to manage like five PL games plus probably a CL Ro16 against Real Madrid or Bayern.

This club is fucking ridiculous. Why didn’t we sign anyone in January? It didn’t need to be anyone world class, but someone who could take minutes and help us prevent our remaining players getting injuries. It’s a fucking miracle that we’re second in the league and came third in the CL first phase.

Isn't your CL Last 16 tie against someone else? I thought the way it worked was that the winners of Celtic/Bayern and City/Madrid would play Leverkusen or Atletico.

Tears in my eyes. An actual, specialised LB/LWB starting a game for United (no, I'm not counting the corpse of Malacia). Feels like it's been years.
