Great as usual! It was them and Saturdays At Your Place, so a fun little tour in terms of modern emo.

I do think the venue was a little big for them. It’s the same one The Wonder Years and The Menzingers play in my city, so it was only 2/3 full, but no one really minded and it was nice to be able to breathe a little. For a duo they put on a great show, and the new material sounds great live alongside the stuff they’ve been playing for years.

Better than the game for sure lol.

 

I was on a two week Us east coast tour of DIY shows with my buddies in 2018, we played a show with them in DC. Random ass show with a weird ass bill that maybe 5 people showed up to. Vividly remember how much they killed it and how we all drove the point home to them that if they kept putting the work in it was always going to be a matter of when not if for them.

 

Shouldn’t they be in school?

 

Danso getting the classic "debut at Anfield" story line. The lad will need broad shoulders.

 

This is going to be painful

 

Kinda want Spurs to get through so we see two clubs and fanbases in the final who are incredibly desperate for a trophy.

On the other hand, i simply cannot want Spurs to win anything.

 

Really sloppy start

 

Turned on the game while I work from home for the afternoon to see richarlison go off injured so spurs continue to be very consistent, at least.

 

Not a terrible first half. We sat back and played defensively. And defended well overall. Their goal was deserved, but dumb. Too many sloppy passes in the midfield.

 

We clearly can’t hold on much longer playing this way though. I’d expect Bergavall coming on soon to give the midfield a little bit of a forward minded player compared to what’s out there now.

If we keep sitting back we’ll lose 3-0.

He’s had a tough one

Copa del Rey 4-0 at half...

So, yeah... just missing the hat trick, haha.

 

Fiorentina just smashed Inter 3-0. Moise Kean scored a brace to continue a really good season. Wild to think he flopped at Everton.

 

We’ve been overpowered pretty much all game. But Danso has been a bright spot. He might be good.

 

Gonna avoid any kind of fan reactions to this one. I don’t know what they expected.

 

Embarrassing.

knew it would be difficult but man this is tough.

 

I get why it’s embarrassing.

But we started the game without a single starter in the backline, a backup keeper, backup striker, and 3 defensive midfielders. And none of it was really by choice. Then we lose Richy and have to throw in a 19 year old who probably hasn’t even trained with the team yet.

They held on as long as they could. And then were forced to open up once it was 2-0.

I don’t think there’s really anything to take away from the game. We played away against maybe the best team in Europe while our squad is still in shambles. This should be expected imo.

Yeah I’m not like furious about it. I just still think we looked terrible and lost at a lot of points. Even the more senior players looked bad which is why I call it embarrassing. I don’t know. I’m just numb to it. I expected to lose, but we got absolutely thrashed. Just another season wasted it feels like.

 

I’m just tired of not having an actual squad. It’s been two months of jumbled lineups and no rotation. It’s exhausting.

 

Kinsky also looked shockingly awful today too

 

Yeah, he looked rattled for sure. He’ll be a nice backup once Vicario returns though.
